O.k, this board needs another moderator. I haven't been reading and checking as many threads as I should because I've just been so busy with "real world" stuff AND working on the comparisons and the site (the site which is REALLY in need of an info update). Also, Yohko (the other mod) has also had some things going on and she can't really come to the site herself lately. So! It's mod search time! I'm taking "applications" AND "nominations". Now please keep in mind that this is NOT a popularity contest. Just because a lot of people thinks a certain person should be a mod does not necessarily mean that they will be chosen. I already have some people in mind, I'm just using this thread to find out who is available, and who the public thinks would do a good job. Some Guidlines: If applying, please state why you would be a good mod. Even something as simple as "I'm around a lot." would suffice. Applicants must have the ability to spell and construct sentences in an understandable manner  . If nominating, please state why you think they would be a good mod. Hmm. That's all I can think of for now. Thanks for your help everyone ^_^ ! |

Okay, (man I'm gonna sound like an ass nominating myself) I would like to be a moderator Lovely. "I'm around a lot!"  Okay I actually do frequent this site a few times a day and I usually wander through all the threads that have new beside them. I like to keep myself updated as to what's going on here. I'm not nominating myself just because I have so many posts here either. And I believe I do a good job constructing coherent sentences. I usually go back and modify my posts if I catch a spelling or grammatical error. You know that I've already tried to keep you up to date on any spammers I've seen infiltrating the boards and I just think that I would do a good job. And if it matters, no, I haven't been a moderator to a message board before. Thank you for your time! EDIT: Oh yeah, and if it helps, you won't need to supply me with a gun to shoot people with since my avatar and sig Jr.'s are already packing heat!! ;D |

(Man I'm gonna sound like an ass nominating myself) I just want to say that I don't want anybody to feel that way! Part of the reason for this post is to check if certain people would WANT (and have the time) to be a mod ^^; . Oh, by the way, Mod's will be chosen after a week or so. Of course, considering the way I procrastinate it might be a month or so ... (kidding... maybe...) |

well, I'm not perfect, but I visit the site almost every day (except weekends and Fridays, and some holidays), my spelling is pretty good, and I LOVE Shaman King Uncensored, so... I'd like to be a mod! I nominate myself! ... I hope I didn't sound too vain...  |

Being mature is very important when having power. I wouldn't want somebody running rampant on the boards deleting posts that they just don't like because they don't agree with them. Or worse, banning someone with opposing views. The new moderator has to be able to deal with these types of situations. Like Lovely. She does a great job on this site. She only locks threads that don't make any sense or have run their course. And she does give people a second chance if they forget a rule or two. *hopes for brownie points from last comment  |

Someone here must be stalking me because I've always wanted to be a moderator...
I do write pretty coherent sentences, the only flaw would be is that I type too many periods. XD (and faces..)
And like Jr., I always go back and edit things. (I can't stand incorrect grammar! This came to be because so many people in my school confuse english and spanish, and it annoys me. >_O) Oh, and I'm not too fond of abbreviations or computer lingo either. ^^;;
Another good thing is that I have seen the entire SK series. (that's not important is it..?) And I pretty much know everything about it. (thanks to wasteful hours on the internet.)
Oh, and I come here *everyday*, believe me. I have no life in the "real world".
So basically, I nominate myself....^^;; But not only me, like Pinkechidna, I also think Saturn and LC would make good moderators. ^^
One more thing, I think it would be a nice experience! ;D

LC goes back to re-read his posts...ALL of his posts!I nominate Jr. and Resurie. Jr is everywhere! I think he's cloned himself amongst the different topics...or he's mastered the space / time continuum...take your pick. I've also never seen or heard of any problems with his posts either. Resurie's more notable for her diplomatic skills in the comparison threads. She's also answered every question I've ever asked whether she knows the answer or not. Actually, I'd be willing to moderate one of the topics...but I don't feel I have the time to police the entire board. I work 8 to 5, do the domestic house chore things, and I'm addicted to WoW....oh yeah, and there's a certain show I like to watch on Saturday mornings that requires a 30 minute time block! LC |

I have to agree. Resurie does have vast SK knowlege. I believe I have praised her in a few threads already for her ability to have the answers. I feel highly unqualified now........ ;_; |

You spelled experience wrong!! ;D Curses! I'll fix it. I go to a school where people pronounce the word "igniter" wrong, spare me on (some of..) my spelling! Thanks for the nomination LC. ^^ I always try to answer questions, even if I'm not sure. I like giving people a possible answer... And Jr., you have praised me for my ability to have the answers? Not even my friends are that nice...I feel giddy now. XD |
