Has anyone heard of this anime? I did a little search and there's this topic here called OD RIP.
...4Kids is going to dub it... Ojamjo Doremi has quite a lot of kanji everywhere.
Anyway, I think it's a cute anime and I've only seen season 1 and a few episodes of season 4. If anyone else had heard of this anime, could anyone tell me about season 2,3 and 4? Sankyuu! ;D

I'll see if I can get Dessa on this, she really, really likes this show, but hasn't gotten me to see it yet. I hear it's really good, but you have seen more than me of this show. like I said, Dessa is a HUGE fan of this, so I'm sure she will be replying to this topic soon.

It was a very cute show when I used to watch it a few years ago on RTL2 (German satellite) and its certainly got some charm to it although it won't appeal to everyone, but alas if 4shites have gotten their grubby mitt's on it all I have to say is: RIP Doremi, twas nice knowing (the original) you.

I think this was mentioned in that interview with Al "Out of Touch" Kahn. It's gonna be called "Magical Doremi" I believe. Haven't seen it, but I now I want to know more about it since I know that 4Kids'll screw it up it whatever ways may be possible. ( > _ < )

( > _ < ) Toei already calls it "Magical Doremi" on its English-language website. If I was dubbing this, I would only change a few names: * Hazuki Fujiwara -> Holly Fujiwara * Onpu Segawa -> Ana Segawa * Poppu Harukaze -> Polly Harukaze And as for the people who use the "Makihatayama" aliases... it can be informally shortened to "Maki" (e.g. Rika Maki).

I think this should dispell any ideas of 4crap doing a good job on OD...
**takes down the Commander Hana figurine her best friend got her from her birthday and huggles it**
Anyway, here's some interesting notes on the series.
There are 5 seasons and 2 movies.
The four original seasons aired on TV for 201 episodes, and were titled Ojamajo Doremi, Ojamajo Doremi # (Sharp), Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi (More), and Ojamajo Doremi Dokkan! (kaboom).
The movies are Ojamajo Doremi # and Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi, which are side-stories to the seasons.
The final season is Ojamajo Doremi Naisho, which is a 13 episode OAV that was on Japanese pay-per-view.
"Ojamajo" is itself a made-up word, so it doesn't translate well. "Jama" or "Ojama" means "bothersome, troublesome, etc.". "Majo" means "witch." Majoruka coined the term in describing Doremi, who was both "bothersome" and a "witch." It works well because the "ma" in "ojama" and in "majo" are the same.
As I've pointed out in various threads, the series has a very musical motif. Doremi's name is based off of "Do Re Mi" (and she gets teased for such), and her younger sister's name is Poppu, or "pop" (as in Pop music). Onpu's name itself means "musical note."
The voices are also ones you may find familiar.
Doremi's voice is done by Chiba Chiemi, who also does Arisu Fujisaki's voice on Angelic Layer. Hazuki's voice is Tomoko Akiya, who also does Mizuno Suzume on Zatch Bell. Aiko's voice is doen by Yuki Matsuoka, who also does Orihime on Bleach. Onpu's voice is done by Rumi Shishido, who also does MOMO's voice in Xenosaga. Poppu's voice is doen by Sawa Ishige, who also does Izumi on Digimon Frontier Hana-chan's voice (seasons 2+) is done by Ohtani Ikue-san, who is really nice and cute and genki and.... er, the voice of Pikachuu Momoko's voice (seasons 3+) is done Nami Miyahara, who also does Shouko in Mamotte Shugogetten.
Hmmm... it says that Paku Romi did a character named "Ba Ba" in Dokkan...
this is getting long, I'll end it for now... this IS one of my favorite shows, though, and I AM the Ojamajo Ham~Ham.

See, I told you she'd have some info on this show! I want to see it sometime too, Dessa! Some day we need to find a way to get some of the episodes, I want to participate in your obsession as well!
What a sad state of affairs when 4kids gets ahold of such a series, though. With how they handle shonen action series, I don't want to know what they will do with this one.
