Have any of you heard of Mauricio de Sousa's comic books series Monica's Gang (Turma da Mônica)?
Some versions of Sega Master System/Game Gear games that came to Brazil had characters replaced with familiar characters in Brazil. As I downloaded several ROM versions of not-so-well known Wonder Boy games, I learned that the Brazilian version had characters from Turma da Mônica in the game. Hence, this is how I heard of the series.
The main character, Monica (spelled Mônica in the original Portuguese release) is quite powerful for her age. She carries a blue toy rabbit called Samson (Sansão in the original Portuguese - yes, Brazilian comics have that "name change" "problem" too). Her arch-enemy, Jimmy Five (Cebolinha in the original Portuguese) always plots to steal Samson so he can make knots in his ears.
I have never read Monica's Gang, but I bet I can get it at a comic store if I ever feel like I wanted to read the English version.
