The rules of the game are simple: post 10 things...only 10 things...and this time, about Teen Titans.
If someone wants to start a "10 Things" for some other show or Shaman King, I say go for it!
My 10 in no particular order:
1. The frame by frame animation timing is the best quality I've ever seen, theatrical or TV series (not including a preview clip I saw for next Fall's "The Batman". It doesn't count, yet...).
2. My favorite episodes were the 2 part Apprentice at the end of season one...Robin = bad guy. That's all I'm going to say if you haven't seen it.
3. Although I have nothing against mimicry, the animators need to learn when you should and shouldn't place sweatdrops or other emotional references next to a character's head...it's way out of hand in this show.
4. Excellent job on the voice actors.
5. My favorite characters are Robin and Starfire...I wonder why that is...
6. The Lord knows, I hate the intro...I hate everything about the intro right down to Puffy Amiyumi...cringe.
7. It's a shame all of the episodes I've seen (season one) are very predictable...the only thing you have to fall back on are the deep character portrayals that have to carry each episode along.
8. Worst Episode: Mad Mod...there was no point to it..."groovy" visual effects...and nothing else. Even the humor was bad.
9. If you're looking for a deep storyline and continuity like Batman the Animated Series, or every other anime...look elsewhere. Teen Titans keeps it minimal, with little introspection, some minor continuity, and alot of the focus being on jokes...it's a fluff show...if you treat it as such, it's good stuff.
10. Favorite in-joke:
Aqualad: "Well, I work alone."
Beast Boy: "Well, oh yeah, so do I!"
Aqualad: "What!? No you don't, you're part of a team!"

1)Either I occasionally go insane before watching this, or in some episodes the opening is sung in Japanese(I'm serious! I hear ACTUAL Japanese in the openeing at times) whiel at other times its in English. Oookkkkaaayy....
2)Is it jsut me, or is there something going on between Robin & Starfire?
3)Raven's my fav. character
4)My fav. eppies are the one where Cyborg and Beastboy(I think there was somebody else but I can't remember) go into Raven's mindscape & the ep. where RAven & Starfire trade bodies.
5)US cartoons (such as Teen Titans) imatating the anime art style is a a sign that anime is becomeing more mainstream...maybe this means fewer cases of people lableling anything that's animated as being for kids?
6)I can't think of a six...whatever
7)I swear that the animators were on something when they churned out the Mod Mod episode
8)How long has it been since there have been new TT episodes? I can't remember since I havn't watched it in a while...
9)Is it just me, or do they rerun some episodes of this more than others?
10)Four of these have a question in them. Oi...and I can't think of a ten either...

#10) The predictible and shallow episode plots. #9) Cyborg's unoriginal name and weapons. #8) The anime wanna-be look. It's been done by Totally Spies. #7) Beast Boy's powers. Can you say Animorphs? #6) Terra.... need I say more? #5) Episodes like Mad Mod or Every Dog Has His Day. #4) Starfire, becuase she's too darn happy and gay. (In more ways than one  ) #3) Raven is too Goth. #2) Robin, because he is too big of a busy-body. #1) The show ain't that orignal. Nor are my comments. |

I thought and I thought...maybe I can get 10...but I doubt it...
1.) There is no rewatch value? If I see an episode I've seen already I don't want to sit down and watch it again.
2.) I hate that Mad Mod episode. No point to it. It's like they were trying to make a comedic filler and it just blew up in their faces.
3.) I hate the theme song. It's like we got the reject jpop group from Japan. I would have rather had an English singer singing the intro song than PuffyAmiYumi.
4.) Raven's my favorite character. Why? I'm not sure. I have a thing for liking characters that are dark, mysterious, depressed, gothic, etc.
5.) The animation style is pretty clean, I have no problem with it at all.
6.) I'm annoyed by always seeing them in their costumes. Even when they are doing mundane activities like playing ball in the park. Everybody else has an identity to hide who they are, why don't they do too?
7.) They live in a giant T. It just screams "here I am, destroy the building." If I was a villian I'd drop a bomb on the building, that would get rid of them quickly.
8.) I loved the Aqualad episode. I just enjoyed the fact that Aqualad was this "pretty boy" character with the BESM traits of attractive at level 6 and a girl magnet. It was just so out of character for both girls to be falling for him, especially Raven.
9.) No complaints against the voice actors.
10.) Overall, I find the show ok. It isn't the greatest thing that I have seen, but it isn't bad either.
I really pushed there to think of 10...so hard

1. The theme switches from Eng. to Japanese every episode or so.
2. "Nevermore" [the Raven ep.] is my fave ep.
3. Raven reminds me of Ozuma from Beyblade when she has her hood on.
4. My favorite scenes are random moments between Raven and Beast Boy
5. The voice actors are pretty good
6. The Mad Mod ep was the scariest thing I had ever seen in my life.
7. The anime-like sweatdrops etc. are kinda awkwardly placed
8. They just HAD to high-pitched voice girls sing the OP... Keep the sequence, change the song, mebbe?
9. Robin looks like he got electrocuted or something
10. This show doesn't make me laugh like Mankin does

last Saturday on Toonami, there will be anther one this coming Sat. too.
1. Larry i so annoying
2. some of the things beastboy says is hilarious
3. Favorite Character, a tie between beastboy and Tara
4. Favorite ep. Dude where's my car. (That wasn't the ep. name but, it's the one where Cyborg gets his car stolen and tries to get it back.)
5. Slade is awsome, major Bad@$$, but my friend thinks he's gay.
6. Cyborg is pretty cool, my second fave.
7. The one thing more annoying than the Japanese opening was on the most recent ep.(I mean new ep. not yesterdays) Larry sang the Japanese opening
8. Blue Furry food is not my ideal for a good meal (All they have in their icebox is moldy food
9. They play the Thunder and Lightning episode too much.
10. Is it Japanese or American anime?

All right let me give this a shot:
1.Unlike most of you guys I liked the mad mod episode. The way beast boy couldn't help but fall under mods control with a simple glance at his hypno screen made me laugh and the way starfire tried to scream his name to wake him up was funny too.
2. My fav. char. is Starfire because I love it whenever she tries to impose her culture on the group (tamarainian folk song) or when she called BB a kalbag barblernilk (spelling anyone).
3.Fav. ep. 2 part apprentice finale. It was great to see Robin finally kick some Slade butt.
4.I also like when Cy and BB fight over food.
BB: Pass the tofu.
Cy: Is there any meat in tofu?
BB: No theres no meat in tofu, its tofu!!
Cy: Then I'm not going near it then.
5. I wonder... if Robin has all those abilities when he masqueraded as Red X, why doesn't he use them when he's just Robin?
6. I loved the episode with the puppet master when Star and Raven switched bodies. How do you fly this thing?
7. I love Slades always calm approach to the Titans like nothing ever got under his skin. That is until Robin kicked him in the face.
8. Ravens personality episode where you really got to know her. You realize why she always has to stay bottled up emotionally.
9.Almost there..... I can't stand Gizmo and his terrible insults. Although I thought barf brain was very well crafted...
10. One of my favorite shows in the WB line-up. They better not trash it.

1) is it anime or anime inspired? I dunno. the mannerisms are like anime and sometimes the voices are off (BeastBoy talking as he resumes human form, etc.) just like a bad dub. 2) sometimes they play the the theme song in Japanese, and they play mid-episode songs in Japanese. 3)I really liked the Starfire/Blackfire episode. the Mad Mod episode is kinda funny, too. 4)who IS Slade, anyway? 5)I don't know if it's a dub or not, but if it is, it's the best I've ever seen.  6)why is BeastBoy green? (just curious) 7)uh-oh, if Kids WB ever found out that people other than preschoolers watch "Teen Titans", they'd cancel it. (or maybe only 4kids does that, I dunno) 8)they show the Mad Mod episode every other week. 9)good voice actors! maybe it isn't anime. 10)a lot can be said for this show, both good and bad. I think it's OK. |

#9) Cyborg's unoriginal name and weapons. #7) Beast Boy's powers. Can you say Animorphs? You are aware the show was adapted from a comic series that was started in the seventies, aren't you? Beast Boy's powers pre-dates Animorphs and while I may be wrong, Cyborg may have been the first super hero to have cybernetic enhancements. Anyway. 10. Mad Mod. He's full of British clichies like Guvner but he's still a good character in my opinion (and I'm British). 9. The second Mad Mod ep where he managed to take over the US for a bit and put it back under British rule. 8. Robin's fighting skills. 7. The Best Boy "vs" Cyborg scenes are enjoyable. 6. Apparently this was meant to be DC's answer to X-Men. 5. Japanese version of the theme song, so you don't have to listen to the annoying lyrics (I don't understand what they're saying). 4. When Beast Boy spoke backwards. It just made me laugh. Not sure why. 3. Some of the anime esk things they put in. 2. Characters are developed well. 1. Slade and his VA. Nuff said. For the record, Slade is the character's real name (his full name is Slade Wilson). In the comics he uses the super villain alias of Deathstroke the Terminator (which wasn't used because apparently they can't have the word death in a kids show). If you want to learn more about him, go here. I'm not a fan of the comic series but I have picked up some info here and there. I mainly read Spider-Man. |

1.Teen Titans is a very nice cartoon!!! 2.Have you noticed that Robin is the only one without special powers? 3.Robin is the leader of the titans although Cyborg seems to be older than him...hmmmm.... 4.Starfire seems to be in love with Robin 0.o 5.From all the titans,Beastboy is the weakest of all. 6.Do the titans have parents?I mean they live alone in that T shaped tower 7.Where do they get the money for all their equipement??? 8.Raven is usually unhappy but in my oppinion she is the most powerfull titan 9.Why does Robin wear a mask?There is no point in doing that! 10.Teen Titans has very capuring adventures and furthermore is a super cool cartoon....beside Shaman King |
