Did anyone get to check out the premier of Shinzo yesterday? I saw the second episode today and I thoght it looked very old. The animation wasn't as crisp as newer animes like Shaman King.
The show did show some promise though. The characters voices all seem to fit except that cat thing. His voice seems way out of place.

Actually, we British-ers had Shinzo quite a long time ago, on Fox Kids, years before it was turned into Jetix. Mushrambo, (as the anime was called in Japan, based upon the mythical character who appears later in the story), is a rather good anime, if you can tolerate the dub voices and such.

In my area it was on both Saturday and Sunday on Jetix. I caught most of the second episode today.

When Mushrambo/Shinzo originally came to the US, it was, I believe, either 2001 or 2002, and it was BEFORE ABC Family Saturday mornings became "Jetix". In fact, the morning it became Jetix is the morning they stopped playing Shinzo.
Shinzo is a good series... unfortunately, while the dub cast is great (Lovely, it's our favorite group!), the editing is horrible. Watching yesterday's episode ("#1"), you can clearly tell where the original episode 1 ended and the original episode 2 began. IIRC, it is also MORE edited than it was the first time it aired... the first time, I might add, where they cut the show off right at a major climax!!!
I don't remember the show being as heavily edited, so hopefully as it goes along it will have less editing... especially when Hyper Sago is on the screen...

OOh oooh!! Inu saw Shinzo on Saturday! I actually really liked it, the main girl seemed cool, i couldnt make out what her name was..x.x and Mushra was so...cute! I think he has the same VA as Un-ou from Kiddy Grade o.o I didnt really understand alot of it though. I thoughtit was a bit fast-paced, but i get why now thanks Dessa. Thats stupid, cut out half an eppie...why show the thing if your gonna do that? Especially if its the first ep! I didnt see the 2nd ep, but thats ok cause its gonna be on toon disney on Tuesday night mwaha. (i have satelite thats how i know these things X3)) I wish i got it more, but i liked what i saw for the most part. Mushra rocks, love the eyes =D

Heh... I just finished watching the "2nd" episode of Shinzo... it really is the full-length 2nd episode!! So episode 1 is half of episode 1 and half of episode 2, and episode 2 is all of episode 2! Baka!

 Damnit, thanks to my stupid haircut i missed the "2nd" ep....again! Well, i saw the 3rd ep, if it really is the 3rd ep  ...tonight. Shinzo is on at 9 over here in my time in Missouri on toon disney btw. I liked it alot, i think i'm understanding it a little more. Anyway, there was a fight, hinted romance, and drama at the end, as well as a cliffhanger! Thats some of my favorite stuff.. =D and Mushra/Yukumo(i think that's her name anyway..) is SOOOO kawaii!!

Shinzo... we had it at Jetix here but I can't remember ANYTHING about it, it was a long time ago...
...wait, wasn't it the show about there being only one human girl left in the world and some lion, a water guy and a fire guy had to take her somewhere? Yeah I think I remember...

Did they repeat any content? Quite a bit... about half an episode's worth... Basically, the episode starts with Mushrambo lowering to the ground with Yakumo in his arms, and goes through to the group of four headed toward the West, with Mushra complaining that Saago and Kutal would get on his nerves. Both those scenes are in "episode 1." So just think of the stuff between those scenes from "episode 1," and flesh it out so that things flow smoothly from one scene to the next. Ironically, last time it was on, they messed up. The show is supposed to go as follows (CM = commercial break): OP / Segment 1 -> CM -> Segment 2 -> CM -> Segment 3 -> CM -> Segment 4 / ED However, last time they played the episode, it went like this: OP / Segment 1 -> CM -> Segment 3 -> CM -> Segment 2 -> CM -> Segment 4 / ED Mr. Lobster- Yup, that's the right series. |

i remeber seeing some of it a few years back and i've been wanting to see it. but i have no idea when jetix or whatever i have is on  i think jetix is a sunday thing for us and im gone at 8 in the morning. ohh well...i guess i'll survive ^^; |

Oh yes, I remeber Shinzo. Something us English got before the Americans, shocking. Why is it ever since this whole Jetix thing came about when Fox kids was still called Fox kids they moved (and removed) all of the good programs from the channel. Its hard to watch Shaman King dub when it's on at 9PM to 10PM and i have school and homework and...
