Which one, the movie or series (Escaflowne)? The movie. Well, that's what everyone is saying. Fox still has the broadcast rights to the anime t.v series (unless CN was able to work out a deal or something.)

Maybe they can or did! They do air Futurama and Family Guy and have also aired several different shows on other networks. I'd be happy either way.
I've heard the movie's bad because their trying to cram the entire plot in 90 minutes or so. Even so, I haven't seen the entire series, so I am gonna be watching that!
Yay, Escaflowne! (Sorry, it's been so long since I've seen it.)

I'm not making any of this up. I'll even pull the article off of the Adult Swim boards to prove it... ((note: non-anime information has been removed))
Although... Escaflowne was aired back in 2000... usually the rights are only for 5 years, so that means it should be up this year...
Anyway, to recap, from the press release, here will be the new schedule:
May 14th 11:30- Samurai Champloo 12:00- Inuyasha Movie 1
May 21st 11:30- Samurai Champloo 12:00- Metropolis
May 28th 11:30- Samurai Champloo 12:00- Paranoia Agent 12:30- s-CRY-ed
I'm assuming that IY will be placed on after s-CRY-ed, although Paranoia Agent's only 13 episodes, so when it's done, it'll probably be removed, moving s-CRY-ed and IY up a half hour (or IY will have new episodes on weekdays, like they did last time).
FYI, For the ends of these series, Samurai Champloo will end on November 5th, Paranoia Agent on August 20th, and s-CRY-ed on November 19th.
Likely, IY movie 2 will be on on August 27th, which would leave the following week open for GitS: SAC 2nd Gig to start in September (as per the schedule).
However, the Escaflowne movie may push PA and s-CRY-ed back a week. Unsure at this point which it'll be.
I am curious, though, why they specify that they have 26 episodes of s-CRY-ed... that's the whole series, so why make it seem like there's more?
Oh, and Lovely... the anime is WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the manga.
