Liked the ep. They kept quite a bit in. More then I expected from a dub...
Btw, when Sasuke was breaking Zaku's arms, was the green filter in the original? I can't recall if it was, but it didn't seem to fit in with the scene.

According to ANN, yes. Although Sam Regal also seems to lend himself as Shino before episode 34 it would seem. (He also played Faust VIII on Shaman King) And on that note... SHINO -- Like alot! KIBA -- "Gaara loves Boobies, eh? What about Kiba likes Doggy Style?" -- Kyle Herbert (Kiba's VA) HINATA -- Great, sounds alot like the Japanese voice. GAARA -- He really developed into a delightfully creepy guy. (My only gripe is that the delivery of the "Let's make it rain blood" line sounded kinda cheesy and forced) SIDENOTE: LOL, black blood. "Holy shit Gaara! You've struck oil!" |

Actually Tonfa, I think the blood was that dark in the original. Liked this episode very much. -Kiba's voices good, I'm surprised that Kyle got it down so well. -Hinata's sounds like the Japanese VA learned fluent English (that's a good thing) -I didn't like Shino's voice that much. It sounds a bit different to the original deep, mysterious voice of the Japanese VA. Though, it does fit his character well, I guess... -Gaara's VA sounded a bit forced, but I think he's getting the hang of things. - They seemed to force the word "fool" more than usual today... -I loved the fact that they kept the raining blood scene pretty much unscratched. That made me  Wow, doing these kind of reviews reminds me of the good old days... but yeah, I LOVED this episode, hurray for the rain of blood! ;D |

Gotta love the face-off's.
I, personally can't wait for the Temari vrs. TenTen and the Neji vrs. Hinata battles.
Can't wait to see how well Kankuro fights. We finally get to see him use Crow!

Well, this isn't about the anime, but there was something in the manga that's been bothering me...
Two SJs ago, Naruto punched Gaara (when Gaara was trying to kill Lee in the hospital). But wouldn't Gaara's sand shell thing protect him from the punch? He said it moved without his will. I didn't think Naruto is fast enough to get through it.

Sakura vs Ino was made of suck and fail.
Tenten vs Temari was made of pathetically one-sided and filler
Shikamaru vs Kin was made of embarassing and funny (man, Kin sure got the short end of the stick. Zaku got arm cannons, Dosu got an arm cannon, Kin got needles with annoying bells on them...)
