i don't think the f word is appropriate. i have seen bastard on here but maybe since we were short of mods, no one picked it up. lovely, resurie, jr? what do you think?

Anyhoo, I think it's fine to curse a little bit, but if a person curses every other word we'll tell them to cut it out of course.

I think I might have said bastard in a thread somewhere...  I tend to curse....but instead of the "F" word, I always say "Fudge" XD. It's more fun AND appropriate, even though people might be confused... I don't see any problems though....I mean, for those who HAVE cursed, no one said anything to them afterward. Plus, we're all mature here...right? I doubt anyone will jump up and say "oOoOooOHH! u HaVe A POttY mOuTH~~~~!!!!!!1111!" Forgive my mockery on computer lingo...XD I really don't like it.... |

I know I've been guilty of using a few of those words. None of the really bad ones like the ones I'm sure we're talking about.
I really don't have a problem with it either as long as it's used conservatively and within proper context. No insulting and the like of other board members. We are a family here after all! ;D *can I get anymore cheesy?

I agree that cussing should be kept to a minimum. It's possible to get your point across without excessively harsh language. And none of that "Well I cuss alot, so it's hard for me to stop." Don't type the word then. When I speak, every other word I say has to be the F word, (unless I'm around young children.) I have a terrible mouth, but I don't see the need to pollute the internet with such foul language. It's already tainted with garbage and I'm sure that children come to this board.
I'm all for not using really bad language.

Spoiler? In whole, 2 mangas. It starts at volume 19 chapter 162 and ends before the last four or three chapters of 20. I think that's right...x_o It is a very long backstory. ^^; I understand if you still want to enforce your rule since exceptions might cause something. XP And as of now, 10 chapters done, and some more to go...I forget..  Ah, my poor mangas~ *points to the spine of her book* Ahem, yeah...>< And cursing...well...I can't say anything. I always say fudge also, example in school of course. And for the s word, SHI----N! Yeah, shin...>> If we had to put curse words on levels with the s word and f word on top, bastard, ass, jackass, screw etc etc etc as a middle level. *Please excuse what I said...* Then the top should be avoided using, the middle should apply the same but is allowed maybe? And the lowest, like stupid, idiot, blah...well, I don't think that is really something. But my two cents are that cussing is okay if not used severly and not directed other people.... I shall shut up now... |

To make one last mention about language, after joining the One Piece Uncensored Message board, I was suprised to learn that their filter is more strict than this one. I made a mention about how I heard a cocking sound like a cocking of a gun and the filter replaced the word cock with thingy.  ? It read Kaya was thingying her gun? That actually makes it sound a lot worse!!! ;D Oh but the filter doesn't touch hell.......I can say hell but not cock? !!! Just making a remark about how lenient our dear Lovely is....... man those bullet wounds really smart!!! XD |
