Are Shaman King games worth buying?

Are the Shaman King games worth buying? I mean, from what I heard about soaring hawk and sprinting wolf, they sound really crappy. Are they any good? What about power of spirit? I was thinking about buying that one too. What are your opinions? Any reccomendations?

I would rent Power of Spirit. I was disappointed by it's battle system. Sure it had neat little cinematics for the special attacks, but you have to beat the game just to open vs. mode and then the characters all have the same moves. they just look different but cause the exact same damage.

I haven't played any of the GBA games though so those are a different story!

You could beat it in a weekend!!

I got it for christmas and took my time through it. I probably could have beaten it over a weekend though. It's rather short and repetetive. You basically jump+attack every enemy you face.

I would only play it for the story. The dialouge is pretty good, but I can't stand the dub references to U.S. landmarks but they had to change the names for no apparent reason. Niagara Falls=Gaianara Falls.
A couple of my favorites:

YellowStone Park = RedStone Park! (WTF?!)

Hoover Dam = Koover Dam (WOW! That was a tough code to crack)

Wow...a weekend? O.O That's what I heard about the gameboy ones, too... the newest ones can be beaten in roughly 4 hours. Is there any replay value?

From the descripton I read in Shonen Jump, Hawk and Wolf sound like Pokemon clones.

Capture w/Mourtuary Tablet(SK) Capture w/Pokeball(PKM)
Trading and Battling
with friends.(Both)

Coexisting anime (both)

And POwer of spirit is a fighting game like Tekken only worse.

At least in tekken the characters have unique attacks, but in Power of spirit, they only have one unique attack and then after that it's all the same.

On an irritating side note, I was forced to watch or listen to the game's trailers repeating every fifteen minutes or so at work(I work at Gamestop).

anouncer: "Shaman King Power of Spirits: unleash your spirits with unique attacks and fight powerful bosses...."

*sigh*

and the music was even worse! I didn't play the game because it's trailer was sooooo irritating!

you cant captue them with the monutary tablet. i have soaing hawk. its really fun, and it has alot in it that the anime dosent, like horo mntioning his craft stand, and rens metioning he drikns three glasses of milk a day.

Well, I rented Power of Spirit from Blockbuster and I didn't really like it. I have one of the Gameboy one's that I found online but I haven't played it for a while, though they aren't HORRIBLE, they aren't very interesting, either.

you mean you can defeat the GBA games in roughly FOUR hours!!!!!
I have the GBA game Master of Spirits and it's REALLY hard...or maybe it's just that I REALLY suck...

Well...its true i suck at video games...but..
I have Power of Spirit and Master of Spirits. Master of Spirits is ok....but i cant beat Horohoro...the 2nd freakin' boss ^^;;; The game itself is...got a pretty simple plot...Lyserg looks kinda funny in it..havent seen his sprite though.
Power of Spirit- I dont care what you people say, i love it! XD I got it for Christmas and couldnt stop playing. What kills me is that when you fight En...he...he freaking body slams you XD Me and my cousin were laughing and are still laughing about that...because we like to make fun of En Anyway, its really fun....though i'm not the best at games so i cant beat the 5 sages or whatever. Up until then it was pretty easy for me. Lyserg's kawaii in it!
As for the 2 new GBA ones...havent played em...they look like Pokemon rip offs and apparently your stuck playing as Yoh AGAIN so i prolly wont check em out. Though knowing pathetic obsessed me i will eventually -_-;

He sprite looks.. not lysergish. They didnt make the capiething poofy enough. and try getting badbah(sp?) before fighting horo. it makes it so you cant be frozen. i should know.. im far into it.

its true. i got MoS, and I loved it. I couldent beat the feild of skeletons, then the giant skeliton, then faust for awhile, so i stoped there, and then i got Legacy of spririts, when i got stuck there im just like "damn im screwd" so i desided to try MoS again, and i did beat them, and alot of other bosses.... Im on the level before marco, now. and i bearly have to use the walkthrough my friend sent me. =D
