((OOC: Lovely-sama... I sorta bend the rules with this... if you don't like it, let me know and I'll change it... I was originally gonna have Dessa talk with Nephilim, but it works better this way))

Dessa wasn't surprised when she ended up at the lake. Something about that place just drew her there. She looked up at the stars, and the Great Spirits' pillar.
"Why? Why, Wokanda?" she stood, yelling at the pillar. "If you're truly watching over everything, and guiding everything, as the Patch say, why do you allow things like this to happen? Why do you allow Wilhelm to manipulate things?"
She sank to her knees, and sang,
"The little twinkling stars on high
Are whisp'ring natures lore
While all around us the soft winds sigh
And Great Wokanda watches o're
WoHeLo, WoHeLo"
"Why, Wokanda, why?" she whispered, tears in her eyes.
A rustle of fabric alerted her to someone behind her. She turned, and saw one of the Patch officials standing behind her.
"I have not heard the Great Spirits called 'Wokanda' in a long time. Nor that song, honoring them," he said.
"I... I didn't know there was anyone else here!" Dessa exclaimed, rising back to her feet. She blushed, wondering how much of her rant he had overheard.
"Did you think that you were the only one who sought out the peaceful tranquility of the lake, away from the bustle of the Village?" Dessa didn't answer. "Whatever happens, it is the will of the Great Spirits. And the Great Spirits don't always work in ways that we understand. We can only interpret their will as best we can." He noticed that Dessa did not look to be in the mood for company, so he bowed to her, and said "I take my leave, though, as you were here before me, and wish to be alone." He was gone before Dessa had turned completely away.
"Wokanda... If this is your will... then if I fall under Wilhelm's control, I want you to make sure that I don't become Shaman King."
~~~~~
chaos didn't even blink when the girl-like figure appeared next to him. He was standing on the branch of a tree, watching Dessa from a distance.
"She is very strong," the girl said, after a while.
"I don't know if she's strong enough, though. We have some tough opponents in front of us," chaos replied.
"Not tough physically, but... She has an inner strength that reminds me of someone else I know."
"Nephilim..."
"It wasn't too long ago, was it, that that someone said that they 'won't hold back anymore'?" chaos remained silent. "That is what drew Wilhelm to her, and you as well. She is very similar to you."
chaos just looked on.
