((OOC: Gah! Sorry it took me so long to write this next part. I had it all planned out in my head. But for some reason it just wouldn't come out on paper!

Operation Room Escape*Patch Arcade*
It is evening time at the Patch Arcade. As always, the gaming arcade is busy and filled with a sort of excited, playful energy.
On one of the Patch “Dance Dance Revolution” machines, Lovely can be seen “dancing” away. (“Dance” in DDR and PiU is a subjective term. Mostly, it’s a game that simply consists of a lot of crazy footwork and jumping around.)
Goofy, but inspiring phrases, of “You are AMAZING”, and “You are the KING OF DANCE” can be heard blaring from the machine. And as Lovely successfully beats a song, she is soon hailed by a presence behind her.
“Hey, I thought you were supposed to be training. I don’t see how playing games can be training…”
Finius, Lovely’s companion fox spirit, gave a low growl.
Lovely turned around and faced the owner of the voice. It was Van, one of her roommates. Lovely flashed a grin and replied in a cheerfully voice, “It’s not really any of your business is it?”
Van shook his head, “I guess not. Anyways I need to talk to you.”
Lovely stepped off the DDR machine and moved on to a “Pump it Up” machine (PiU being another “dancing” video game.) “I’m rather busy at the moment...”
“Hey! This is important! I’m risking a lot coming out here to talk to you.”
Lovely rolled her eyes as she inserted quarters into the machine and began picking a song. “You need actually FANS to justify having a fear of fangirls, Van.”
Van blushed,
what was THAT supposed to mean!.
Van decided to quit the small talk and just get to the point, “Dessa is still in her room. It doesn’t look like she’s even going to come out for our match.”
Lovely laughed, “Ah, good for me! Easy win!”
Van was getting annoyed. “Hey, how can you say that, weren’t you two old friends?”
“We’re competitors now.”
Van grew quite for a moment, and then tried again. “You guys, the modogumi, you’ve been making a good deal about your abilities for a while to the boards. If you win your first match by default, wouldn’t that reflect badly on your team?”
Lovely continued to jump around on the machine, but her pace slowed a bit.
“Besides, you can’t be serious about just letting Dessa mope in that room forever…”
Lovely stopped dancing, and muttered softly, “If I make her worse, you can’t fault me.”
Van looked startled “W-what?”
Lovely turned around and smiled confidently at Van. “Alright, fine. But if I make her worse. You can’t blame me for it.”

*Modogumi/Xeno apartment*
“Yo! Fushigi Shounen!”
chaos started a bit when Lovely entered the apartment and called out to him. He had sensed her presence, but her names for him sometimes caught him a bit off guard.
“Where is everyone? Well, besides Van, I know where he is.”
chaos wasn’t quite sure about Lovely’s intentions, but he answered her simply enough, “Tryell stalked off about an hour ago. Jr and Resurie are currently having dinner at the Patch Pizza Palace. And Dessa….” chaos looked towards the closed door of Dessa’s room.
Lovely grinned, “Perfect, this is convenient for me then. Alright, I’m going in.”
chaos looked at Lovely quizzically, “As you are aware, she isn’t really in the mood for visitors right now.”
“I’m aware. but what you want and what you need can often be very different things right? By the way, things might get a little loud, So I’m going to politely ask you not to interfere.”
“I can’t really promise that.” chaos replied gently, “but…”
“…You see my logic, so you WON’T interfere.” Lovely smirked, then turned to Fini. “You stay out here too for a bit, o.k.”
Fini looked a little saddened by this, but agreed by nodding it’s head.
With that, Lovely opened the door to Dessa’s room.

“What do you want. I’m not in the mood…” Dessa said quietly. There was a glazed look to the girls eye. As if thinking about things she didn’t want to think about was
quite taking its toll on her.
Lovely closed the door behind her and smiled.
“You know, I thought you changed a lot,” Lovely began.
Dessa didn’t move from her position of sitting atop her bed.
Lovely continued, “When we were kids, you never seemed the type to take the initiative to do something. Doing something like this, joining the shaman fight, well it was quite the surprise for me when I found out that you were here!”
Dessa turned her face away from Lovely, “If you’re trying to cheer me up, don’t bother.”
Lovely flashed a snarky grin, “Who said anything about ‘cheering up’? Actually, I’m really happy! I thought you had changed, but you seem like your old cowardly self again. I was a bit worried before to be honest! That mystery boy seemed like he might be a bit much for me.”
Dessa turned her face towards Lovely, her eyes seem to be loosing some of their glaze.
“You… don’t know anything,” Dessa said softly.
“What? About the
future?” Lovely said with a roll of her eyes. “Yeah, I’ve heard Jr babble about it off and on. Honestly, I don’t even half believe you people.
Actually… even if I did believe it, I don’t really
care. All I care about right now is becoming Shaman King.”
When Dessa didn’t answer, Lovely continued on, “ Well, It looks like my path to becoming Shaman King is secure. Hey! You wanna know another little secret?”
Lovely’s eyes took on an odd gleam, but the smile never left the girls face, “To be honest, I hate humans. Actually, I’m not too fond of most shamans either. Des, you always seemed the type to like people so, It would’ve been a pain to go against you. Heh, it’s actually almost a bit funny. With someone like
me becoming Shaman King, the world might become a bit of a living hell to someone like
you.”
Dessa’s face was obsured by the shadows of the room, “Someone….like me?”
Lovely lowered her face next to Dessa and spoke softly but clearly into Dessa’s ear. Emphasizing every word.
“Yeah. A
coward…, like…, you.”
*SLAP!*
Lovely reeled away from Dessa. “Ow. That hurt.” Lovely said with an annoyed smile, her face had a bright red mark from Dessa’s slap, “Remind me to beat you up later.”
Dessa had a look of complete shock on her face, “I-I’m sorry. It… it was just a reflex, but… but you were…”
Dessa looked up towards Lovely. The glazed look in Dessa’s eye was now completely gone. Replaced now by a look of strength.
“You’ve changed a lot too Lovely.”
Lovely laughed good naturedly, “Not all that much. I’ve just decided to be more honest I s’pose.”
Lovely opened to the door to the room and stepped out, “Well, it’s interesting that you seem to have SOME spirit left. I wonder if you’ll actually do anything with that?”
With a motion to her guardian Finius, Lovely left the apartment with a slight spring in her step. Now more than ever, it was important for Lovely to get training!
((OOC: Originally, I was going to have Lovely have a short conversation with chaos at this point. But it kind of doesn't fit now, and it would of closed things off too much. Ah well.
I also wasn't really sure where to put this particular post because between the xeno and the modo we have about TEN episode 51 threads going *laughs*. O.k, I'm exagerating a bit, but, you know
