My staff! Anyone have any glue? (Ep 51ish)

"Hey, hey, knock it off Kamanji!" Alicia yelled at the blond-haired shaman as he all but drug her back to team Future Girls' place.

Kamanji turned around, "Alicia, there's no way I was gonna let you go after Jr.! If you hadn't swung your staff, he would have killed you!"

"I know, but-"

"Just come inside."

Kamanji made his way towards the door, but Alicia did not follow. "ALICIA!!"

"Kamanji, I'm not coming in now. I have to go find the other half of my staff...."

"ALICIA! For Christ-sakes! You got shot in the arm!!" Kamanji protested.

"I know....but.....I can't let the other see me like this. My being shot in the arm with a broken staff.... I don't want them seeing me...."

"...vulnerable?" Kamanji finished gently.

If there's one thing Alicia had, it was pride issues. "That and, I can't let Akio see me until I cover up the wound and fix the staff. You know how he thinks, he'll blame himself for what happened to me. Even though it isn't. If I go in now, Mina will pick up on everything right away. I'll be back, just later," she said.

"Alicia, you are injured and you have no useful medium! If someone attacks you now-"

"Koror did a fine job of bandaging my wound, just take care of Akio...."

Kamanji knew there was no use arguing with her. He was worried about Akio after all. He wished foe her safety and went inside.


"Alicia, Alicia please....." Suzaku begged.

"Suzaku, I have to find the other end of my staff..."

"ALICIA! You must get the bullet taken out!" Suzaku exclaimed. Alicia could feel the sting of the bullet that pierced her arm. That was the first time in her life that someone had truly tried to kill her.

"WHERE IS HE?!" Jr. screamed. He aimed for Alicia and shot. She saw the bullet comming for her; she didn't have much time. Alicia swung her staff, the bullet smashed right through it, sending splinters flying everywhere. Alicia then felt a piercing pain in her left arm as the bullet pierced her. She fell to the ground.

Alicia was tired, the stinging grew worse. She had no Furyoku to use Phoenix Down to heal herself, and no medium for that matter.

She plopped down on a bench, becoming increasingly more frustrated at not being able to find the other end of her staff. Alicia looked at what was left of her beloved weapon. "I always had my doubts about a staff's performance against a gun...."

"Not a real account of your abilities, Alicia. You had no Furyoku, remember?" Suzaku said in an attampt to cheer her up.

"Yeah, what the hell is up with him attacking me when I had no Furyoku! And then attacking Kamanji, who was completely innocent!"

That gutless bastard....

The look in his eyes....... He's dangerous. If I ever catch him trying to murder Akio or Mina, or anyone else..... Alicia looked at her broken staff. I'll bring him down by any means available at the time.

Suzaku looked at the staff. "How are we gonna fix it?"

"Oh Suzaku, we both know that even if we find the other end and repair it , it won't be fit for fighting anymore..... It would break again within the first few days. I just want it for.....sentimental purposes."

She looked up at the sky. "The enitre Patch Village saw me brought down, I have no weapon now..... Hmmm, think the Great Spirit is trying to tell me something?"

(OOC: Okay, you all can add, but no one find the other half. Jr. is taking care of the staff business. Right Jr.? )

[Jr.]

"How about this one?" Jr. asked Joe holding up a staff.

"Listen Jr.! You can't just BUY Alicia a new staff. We're talking about a shaman's medium! They can't be replaced that easily! What about your Makarov's? If you lost them, could you replace them with another gun around here?" Joe asked.

"Well, the weaponry around here is so antique! I would love to expand my collection..." Jr. began to get starry eyed.

Joe rolled his eyes, "HELLO? JR.! We're not talking about your collection! You need to fix Alicia's staff! You busted it and now she is useless as a shaman!"

"She still has Hayoi Gattai!" Jr. replied.

Joe wasn't amused, "Yes! But as you know that won't do anyone any good at Patch Village. You can't touch a shaman using Hayoi Gattai when they are in Oversoul."

Jr. looked down at the staff, "But it's such a pretty staff. I know she would like it!"

Joe was getting very upset now. But he calmed down and tried again, "Did you at least collect the pieces of her staff from the battlefield?"

Jr. opened his hand, he had recovered as many pieces as of Alicia's staff as he could. It wasn't easy with the Patch Officiates looking for him and Akio to get reimbursed for the damage they cleaned up. And even if Jr. did know how to fix her staff which he doesn't, he would have to get the other half of her staff which is still in her possession. Alicia probably would rather burn Jr. at the stake than say 'Hi' to him right now. Things weren't looking good until...

Jr. shot his head up, "I'VE GOT IT!!!!"

Joe stared in shock as Jr. bolted out the door, "What now?"

(OOC: Just wanted to make sure you knew I didn't forget about you Alicia! Sorry, I haven't been around this week. And sorry, but I'm not sure when I'm gonna be around this week either... I don't know where Jr. is going, but I will fix your staff with some idea that is sure to be very strange! I promise!)

(OOC: ;_; I'm sorry Mata! I didn't mean for you to delete your whole story! Now I feel awful....)

"This looks like the place! I'm still not sure if that source was reliable, but I don't have anything better so here goes..." Jr. says as he enters the house. Jr. needed to consult Sou Lang for advice on fixing Alicia's staff! The only place left was the basement.

Jr. headed into the basement of the house to find Sou Lang. He was well aware as he headed into the darkness of the basement, that Sou Langs' two robots were proabably going to be down there too. He wasn't ready however for what they were planning.

"Here he comes! I can't believe our disguise fooled him Blue!" Red whispers to Blue. Sou Lang was asleep as Jr. descended the stairs to her room.

"Our plan is working perfectly." whispers Blue, "When he reaches the bottom of the stairs...ATTACK!!"

Jr. had just enough time to yell "SH-" before he was knocked to the ground and pummelled by the two robots. Sou Lang was awakened by the fighting, "Huh? OH! What are you doing in my room?" she cries as she throws a pillow at Jr.

Jr. tried to explain, "I need...your OW!...help! GET OFFA ME!" as the robots continued to beat him.

"HE LIES!" Red proclaims.

Blue concurs, "I'm sure his reasons for coming down here were nothing short of...ungentlemanly!!"

"WHAT?!" Jr. cries, "How was I supposed to know she was sleeping? It's the middle of the day!"

The robots stopped for a moment. Jr. did have a point, but they weren't about to let that stop them from having fun. They started going through Jr.'s pockets for money.

"Hey! Get out of there!" Jr. yells. The robots empty his pockets and dispensed the remains of Alicia's staff.

"Boy it's a good thing we helped you out Jr.! You had a bunch of sticks in your pocket!" Red laughed.

Sou Lang inspected a piece of the staff, "This is no ordinary wood...is it Jr.?" she continues to look it over, "This belongs to a spirit medium!!"

Jr. rises to his feet and nods, "It belongs to another shaman. I kind of...destroyed it the other day and I want to fix it as an apology. I heard you fix things so...can you help me?"

Sou Lang eyed Jr., "Just what is it you expect me to do with a bunch of sticks? I'm not a miracle worker. I may be able to help you, but you are going to need the rest of the item in question. I can't fix something if it's missing pieces."

Jr. got a little anxious, "Yeah, well...Alicia still has the other half of her staff and I'm not sure how she'll react to seeing me."

Blue laughed, "You shoot her or something?"

Dead silence.

"oooooooookay!" Blue whistled.

Sou Lang explained, "You need the rest of the staff or there is nothing I can do for you!"

Jr. sighed, "Okay...guess I was gonna have to confront her sooner or later."

Jr. left the house as Joe was passing by, "Where have you been? What the hell happened to you?" Joe noticed Jr.'s bruises.

"Red and Blue still pack a wallop! But I got what I came for! I need the other half of Alicia's staff!" Jr. explains.

"Oh is that all?" Joe replies sarcastically.

Jr. laughs, "I know! I'm gonna get a beating worse than this today! Let's get it over with!"

And the two head in search of Alicia.

Alicia cracked open a Red Bull and sighed. She was sitting at the Patch Cafe, deep in thought.

Her wound had been taken care of while she was sleeping on the bench by, as Suzaku put it, "a very creepy blond guy in a lab coat."

Alicia twirled around the bullet she had been shot with in her hand. The remains of her staff were under her chair. Alicia didn't know why she carried around her broken staff, it wasn't much use to her. Since it was broken, she tried to be extra careful not to get herself into trouble.....which was difficult.

She glanced at the bullet once more. Alicia noticed that there were words on it. She squinted at it.

"Sayonara baby?! Oh man, what an ego this little bastard has! I wonder if all his bullets say this?" she thought.

(OOC: lol pink you gave kamanji quite the potty mouth in your first post ^^; btw i hope this is okay)

Koror was behind Alicia on the chair behind her and read the letters on the bullet.

"Ha, some quoat"

Alicia jumped a little and looked behind her.
"Koror? What are you doing here?" She asked, wondering why a spirit would be out alone without his partner.

"Kamanji sent me. He wanted--"

"He wanted you to stop me from finding and killing Jr. right?" Alicia interupted.

"Well yeah, but he also wants to wish you luck." Koror said jumping down from the chair and looking up at Alicia.

She looked confused at Koror. Kamanji was trying to stop her, and now he's wishing her luck?

"I know my brother can be a pain, but he's like that because he does'nt want to loose anyone again."

"Kamanji is your brother!?" Alicia said, almost falling out of her chair.

"Heh, Yeah. It's a long story, if you come back alive we'll tell it to you."

Alicia looked anoyed at Koror and ignored his "come back alive" comment.

"He also wanted to give you this." Koror said handing her a bracelet. She looked at it in curiosity. It looked like someone had spent years on it, it was so well crafted.

"What for?" She asked.

"It's his good luck charm. He wore it everytime something bad had happend around him. Like my death and the time he was caught in the fire. It brought him luck, and it should bring it to you as well."

Alicia looked at it for a while then looked up at Koror.
"But I Can't--" She started but Koror had already left.

(OOC- AWWW! That's so sweet, Ashil! X3 And sorry about potty-mouthed Kamanji! I wasn't real familiar with his character at the time. ^_^

She wasn't able to finish as Koror had already left. Alicia stared hard at the bracelet. She slid it on her wrist and again admired the exquiste craftmanship.

"Suzaku, make a note, when I get back, remind me to thank Kamanji profusely!"

"Will do!"

"I wonder why everyone is so worr-"

"*Sigh* Because if you were going to hunt Jr. you have no medium to Oversoul. He'd kill you."

"Yeah, I know that!"

Jeez, I just wanted a Red Bull! A twenty dollar Red Bull thank you Patch! Even I'm not that stupid to try and maim Jr. without an Oversoul! If I ever fix my staff...

[Jr.]

(OOC: Sayaonara Baby! EXCELLENT! I never thought of that! Awesome work pink! You set me up perfectly for the next scene!)

Jr. had come up with an elaborate plan to get the broken staff from Alicia. It involved more effort than he was willing to put into it though, so he came up with something simpler. He convinced Sou Lang to have her robots help Jr. get the staff from Alicia. The robots would distract Alicia while Jr. grabbed the staff.

"It will work perfectly unless something goes wrong!" Jr. explains to the robots.

Red was pumped, "Finally!! We get to have some fun!!"

Blue was less than enthusiastic, "When do we get paid?"

Jr. replied, "Soon! You know my funds have been worn pretty thin, by having to pay salary to chaos, having to eat and live in an apartment with my team, and having to pay for all the unfortunate things that I get blamed for!!"

"Meaning..." Blue wondered, as if the robot cared.

Jr. sighed, "The check is in the mail!"

The two robots smiled and listened to Jr.'s plan. A few hours later they were outside the residence of the Future Girls when suddenly Kamaji walks out and spies Jr. in a bush.

"What are you doing here? Haven't you caused enough damage to this team?" he demanded.

Jr. walked up to him, "Look. I'm sorry about Alicia. I never meant for anyone to get hurt. I tend to lose control of myself when I let my emotions take over..."

Kamanji then asked, "And Akio?"

Jr.'s eyes widened when he heard that name. He still had unfinished business with Akio. However, he composed himself and replied, "That's our business... Is Alicia here?"

Kamanji's eyes narrowed as he stared at Jr.. He wasn't sure what to tell Jr.. He finally said, "No. She's not here! Even with her arm in a cast and a broken spirit medium, thanks to you, she is determined to fix her staff. She may have gone to the battlefield to find the missing pieces. Why do you want to know where she is? you want to finish her off or something?"

"NO!" Jr. cried, "I'm trying to fix her staff... It's my fault and I want to make things right. I don't care if she doesn't want anything to do with me! I will make amends..."

And with that Jr. and the robots went in search of Alicia. They found her at the Patch Cafe. Koror was on his way out as Jr. found a spot to hide. Jr. swore he could see a tiny black cloud above Alicia's head as she sat there drinking a Red Bull.

"It's showtime guys!" Jr. explained to Red and Blue.

Red flies up into the dining room, "IT'S TERRIBLE!!"

Alicia looked up but didn't budge from her seat. Her staff was still under her chair.

Blue came in, "Indeed it is Red! Our shaman ally Sou Lang was attacked by Jr. earlier today!"

Jr. stopped in his tracks as he was making his way through the dining room quietly. He glared at the robots.

Alicia stood up, "JR.? He's attacking other shamans?!"

Red floated up to Alicia, "Yes! In their homes no less!! He came into Sou Lang's room and tried to viciously attack her! It took all of our strength to fend him off!!"

Jr. was getting mopre and more enraged but was still able to keep his attention on his mission.

Alicia stood there looking puzzled, "Why would he attack Sou Lang?"

Jr. was still trying to make his way to Alicia while ignoring the robots when he heard Blue announce, "He's...just a...sadistic bastard!!"

Jr. nearly gave himself away as he nearly charged at the floating blue robot. Alicia was getting pissed. Almost as pissed as Jr.!

"That jerk! And I was about to give him the benefit of the doubt about what he did to me the other day! NOW I'VE GOT TO KILL HIM!!" she yells as she starts for the door. Jr. grabs the remains from under her seat. Alicia stops for a second as if she was going to turn around to get her staff as Red flies up and points the incorrect way to where Sou Lang was. Alicia storms off in that direction as Jr. rises to his feet. Jr. happens to see Minako standing there as he rises to his feet. Knowing what really happened by the vibes of total embarassment she is getting from the tiny gunman, she lets out a laugh as Jr. runs from the Cafe with the two robots in tow.

"Nice work guys! Now she IS going to kill me when she finds me!" Jr. complains.

"Yeah! But we'll be paid before that happens so...it works out for us!" Red laughs.

Blue laughs as well, "Thanks for coming by Jr.! This is the most fun we've had in a long time!!"

[Pinkechidna]

"That bastard! I can't let him go around hurting innocent people! I have to figure out a way to end this!" Alicia gasped as she sprinted in the direction the two Halo-looking robots pointed her in.

Suzaku swooped in front of Alicia. "I can't let you go after Jr.! Ask the others for help. Let go of your pride!"

"I CAN'T!"

"Alicia! AGAIN I say: You are still recovering, you have a broken medium.....wait, where is your broken staff?"

"Oh, I must have left it at the Cafe. I've got to get it! It may be short, but.... well, that girl Lovely fights with a baton, maybe she'll teach me." I just hope Sou Lang is okay!

She charged into the Patch Cafe, right over to where she had benn drinking her Red Bull. The only problem was that the staff was gone.

"HOLY FREAKING CRAP! Where is it?! I left it right here, where did it go?! It's gone!" she shouted. It's all over....

She hated feeling powerless. A broken staff wasn't very useful, but now she had no weapon at all.

I'm not of any use to anyone now! Alicia stopped and gave herself a mental slap on the cheek.

NO! I'll take that bastard down with Hyoi Gattai if I have to! If I die, then so be it. I know at least 4 people who would avenge my death anyway! Alicia thought. In the back of her mind however, she did hope to somehow find her staff.

With that mental pep talk, off Alicia went on a wild goose chase!

Jr. looked at the staff he had possesion of. He was still pretty mad at Red and Blue but it was slowly diminishing.
As he was nearing Sou Lang's place, a heavy hand was placed on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Kamanji. He did'nt look to happy and this made Jr. feel uncomfortable.

"Do you need something?" Jr. asked, trying to keep his cool.

"You did'nt tell me you were going after OTHER shamans! What the hell is wrong with you? You still lust for blood, don't you? Akio and Alicia we'rnt enough?"

Jr. glared angerly at Red and Blue. Their lie must have spread along patch. If that were the case, he was a dead man walking.

[Jr.]

I know at least 4 people who would avenge my death anyway!

(OOC: I don't know why I thought that was hilarious, but I did! I'm sorry pink! As for you bro, I wasn't really intending on word getting out of Jr. attacking shamans, but oh well! Gotta be ready for anything in an RP! XD)

(OOC: It's okay though. It's not like my battle with AKio has gone unnoticed! XD So I guess this will be Jr.'s reputation, which will be all the more interesting after this story ends. I have a few twists to add to this one! )

Jr. finds Sou Lang and he asks her, "Now what do we do?"

"Hmm..." The girl scrutinized the piece of wood and squinted. "They look so fuzzy to me..." She opened her blank eyes and inspected them further. "Ok, this can be done, but I'm going to need your help. Your bullet's interference screwed the spiritual path on the staff...So, you're going to have to use your power to help put back the...how say...revolution of the furyoku."

Jr. looked on, "So you'll need me to sort of re-energize it? I can do that!" Sou Lang nodded in confirmation.

She pranced over to her mechanical kit in glee of having something to do and picked a small spherical globe. It released a thin cord to something that looked like a white pen. "Grab this. I'm going to need to use your furyoku for the repair." She pointed to a small wooden chair next to the set. "Sit."

Red and Blue hovered around Jr. and Red even sat on his head. "Eh, just so you know, this isn't a pleasant experience."

Blue agreed. "It's sort of shocking and you might even get weird little flashbacks."

"You might even turn stupid!"

"Red, you know that won't happen..."

"But still, you never know~" she cooed and chuckled sinisterly.

Blue couldn't help but groan.

Sou Lang threw the sphere to Jr. and told him to hold onto it.

"Now...Red, Blue, stop playing around and get my equipment."

They saluted with their tiny antannae and retrieved the necassary items.

Sou Lang took in a deep breath and placed all the wooden pieces, splinters and all onto the table. She took at least the whole enough pieces and placed them together, apart only an inch. Then the splinters were sprinkled in the gaps. Now all she needed was to put it back together then reinstate the furyoku flow.

Blue had a serious expression on his little face as he noted suggestions to glue them together. "How about Jr? He knew how the staff should've looked, right?"

"Ah yes! Then it would ressurrect itself! We'll just have to make sure it does what we want it to..."

Many minutes of electrical wiring was heard as the staff was finally put into its right places from the makeshift before. The pen now came into action.

Jr. held the ball in his hands and began to concentrate his furyoku into it, the power flowed through the wires and into the pen as Sou Lang continued her work. As Jr. concentrated his mind began to wander to past memories.

Sparks erupted from the pen as it flowed onto the staff. They enshrouded the wood and they began to meld together wonderfully. Sou Lang then applied her work to the item and so it was completed.

"It's finished!" She excliamed gleefully and beckoned for Jr's strength again.

"Here comes the shock and the flashback and etcetera part..." Red muttered from the side.

When she connected the pen to the wood, the sensitive material began to merge with the sparks. Eventually, she moved the pen around the staff into a star shape and stabbed it into the wood through the center.

Jr. looked over at Alicia, “You really can be cute when you want to be!”

Alicia smiled then twitched as the comment sank in. Joe just covered his eyes, He keeps thinking out loud! Nothing has changed!

Alicia began yelling and swinging her staff at Jr.” WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN I WANT TO BE?! I AM CUTE! AND DON’T YOU FORGET IT BUDDY!!”

“AAAGGHH!!” Jr. cried running from Alicia.

I owe it to her! She had nothing to do with my fight with Akio. I lost control and she just happened to be there!

"I said..." Jr. looked up at the two of them his eyes burning with anger, "WHERE IS HE?!"

Jr. fired a shot at Alicia. As a reflex Alicia swung her staff to block the shot but without any furyoku to protect her staff the bullet shattered the staff. The bullet, having it's path changed from hitting the staff, and caught her in the arm.


Jr.'s self-loathing at the thought of what he did to Alicia began to manifest itself into his furyoku. The color of the energy, which was red before now turned a dark purple.

Sou Lang looked on with a curiuous expression, Never have I seen this before! Up until a moment ago, his furyoku was pure, but now I sense something else...something terrible. I wonder how this will affect the staff?

"It's done!" Sou Lang exclaimed, "You did it!"

Jr. opened his eyes. He felt weak, but at the same time, he felt like a weight had been lifted off of him. Happily he took the staff in his hand. He had indeed fixed it.

"Thanks for everything!" Jr. says to Sou Lang and her robots.

Blue replied, "I'll thank you after we're paid!"

Sou Lang takes the staff from Jr.'s hands, "The staff still requires one more thing." She pauses for a moment to think up an audible excuse. "I, uh, have some solution back at my place that when applied to the staff will make nearly instructible. No charge for this! I'll be back with the staff in about a half hour okay?"

Jr. nods and Sou Lang and the robots depart for home.

"You're lying, aren't you..." Red said flatly to her.

"You're perceptive aren't you Red..." Blue laughed as he dodged Red's attack.

"I think he deserves it...I'll add it along with the solution. Though I'm afraid it might make the staff TOO hard...Hmm..." She yawned and opened the door to her basement and her little gift.

Jr. turns to sit down on a nearby bench when he notices Alicia down the road.

If she sees me now, she'll kill me! Jr. thinks as he begins to find a place to hide but it was too late.

"JR.!!!" Alicia could be heard for miles screaming Jr.'s name as she comes streaking down the road after him, "You have some explaining to do buddy!"

Jr. looks around, No place to run. I could oversoul, but that is what got me into this mess in the first place. I don't want to threaten her and she does deserve to beat the ever loving crap out of me for the way I've treated her. But still, getting beat up hurts, and I'm also still kind of weakened from the restoration process. While Jr. was thinking Alicia got right in his face.

"What is the matter with you lately? I heard you're attacking Sou Lang! It's not enough for you to beat the hell out of Akio, and shoot me in the arm and break my staff!" she reaches back for the broken staff then remembers it's not there, That's right! It's gone... Tears begin to form as she begins to feel helpless.

Jr. notices and begins, "Ali-"

She quickly shoots a glare at Jr.. Jr. feels like an enormous amount of pain is heading his way, Where is Sou Lang?
