My manga

[Mitsukai]

This is a manga I'm working on which I will submit to Tokyopop's Rising Stars of Manga competition. Please tell me what you think. It will be 20 pages long.

I am going to completely redo Page 1, retone page 2, and reword pages 2 and 3.

Also, I'm aware the characters somewhat resemble a *cough* certain other anime, however, they are original creatures I made up for the purpose of the story, and I haven't come up with a species name yet.

Very well done.Some of the shading and background effects are real nice. I think it is amazing people have the time to do things like this. How long did it take you?

Yes, how long did it take you? I'm thinking of starting my own manga but I JUST DONT HAVE THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

each page takes 2-3 hours, and I only do them at school for some odd reason. I usually get 1 1/2 - 2 pages done per day. I first draw it out with a graphite pencil, then ink it and erase the pencil lines. then I scan it onto my laptop and do tones and speed lines in photoshop.

I need a bit of help... later in the actual series (this is kinda a pilot chapter) a bad guy named Monogurui shows up. Originally, he had the powers of alchemy, which I THOUGHT at the time was the ability to control/manipulate metal. Now, the problem is both that the powers are incorrect, and that since Fullmetal Alchemist recently came to the states, he'll seem unoriginal (not only because of being an alchemist, but how he controls the metal, as well as the fact that he has a metallic right hand). I have no intention of changing his powers, but can anyone come up with a good name for metal manipulation magic?

Don't you have a picture of him on FAC? If so, I saw it, and he looked kewl! Alright, a word for manipulating metal? How about "Metapulation" or "Machination"?

Another suggestion. How about Metamalleation?

Malleable: To be able to change something or bend it or other changing stuff.........
