Missing Episodes on Fox

Hi Everybody!

I've only just been introduced to Shaman King through the new airings of it on Fox Kids and today I had some free time to search around the net and look into more info on Shaman King.

Tossing that aside, while I've been watching on Saturday mornings at 9:30am EST I noticed an episode drop...then two...then I start reading down Lovely's nifty comparison site today to see 15 EPISODES LISTED UP TO THE END OF THE FAUST FIGHT???

What channel / station / time has everyone on the boards been able to catch Shaman King? I've been watching religiously and have only missed one Saturday morning episode (the first appearance of Len).

They dropped the first Pai Long episode (which I wasn't sure if it was a drop...but reading thru Lovely's comparisons, I see my world of Shaman King is full of holes...really big holes...)

Forgive me, I'm still reading through Lovely's stuff (there's alot of stuff there!) but I also know that the episode that introduces the tournamant armbands is missing too...woke up one Saturday morning and it was Tray(sp) vs. Yoh, no explanation where those armbands came from nope nope...

So either I'm having weeklong blackouts and the boys at work are keeping it a secret, or I'm not getting all the episodes.

If I'm not mistaken, Shaman King started on Fox the same day Astro Boy (God rest it's soul) started on Kids WB on...January 17th...that would mean 6 episodes have carried me up to the end of the prelim fight with Faust...so I've been cheated 9 episodes by Fox Kids?

Anybody have any answers to my questions...or is it just the blackouts? Blackouts, do I hear a "blackout" from the back of the room?

Well, Shaman King airs here Saturday mornings at 9:30am CST on UPN 50. I don't know if UPN is a national station or whatnot, but Chicago has been getting every SK episode as far as I know. I wouldn't know what would be the cause of these missing episodes you've been talking about though, sorry. It's pretty bizarre if you ask me.

UPN eh? I wonder if I would've gotten that with the local cable package (currently in South Bend, IN)...soooo, 10:30am EST oh that would be preferable...extra hour of sleep...

Did they just air episode 15 today? I wonder if Fox intentionally dropped episodes to catch themselves up with UPN...that'd make alot of sense...they'd be airing an hour earlier and taking UPNs viewers if they had the same episode.

I think you just answered every question Yohko, thanks for the quick reply! Chances are Fox will air the missing episodes on the 2nd time around now that they've caught up with the syndicates....

I don't get Shaman King on UPN in my area. I get it on a generic local t.v station called WMOR (home of -sarcasm-wonderful-/sarcasm- programs such as "Elimidate".) . Also, they don't show the foxbox programing until Sunday (Shaman King is shown at 9:30am.)

And whoa... I just remembered that i forgot to put the tape into the vcr. heh, maybe I'm suffering from the blackouts too ^_~ .

lordcyber: The most recent episode I saw was the second half of the Yoh vs. Faust VIII fight. Episode 16, I believe.

(Useless tidbit: The FoxBox used to actually BE on Fox over here. xD Dunno why they moved it.)

I think Elimidate is just a sydication show. In other words, it can technically be on ANY network ^_^; .

They DID show the 2nd part of the faust episode and the first episode of the Lee Bailong 2-part! yeesh.....they havnt cut out ne eppie, and why would they, neway?......even tho its 4kids doin the show....WHY WOULD THEY!!!??

4Kids didn't drop the episodes...from the information I've gathered it sounds like Fox skipped episodes to catch up to the syndicated stations...

Let's see if I can count back the episodes that were shown (just tried Fox Kids...they told me to "check back soon" for episode listings...):

So, episode 6 got dropped...which was kinda interesting to just start in the middle of the fight from ep. 5 to ep. 7...it felt rushed at the end of the episode but it still worked not having the lead in...you could piece together the information...I kinda liked that...

Episode 8 got dropped...I wondered why Rio suddenly showed up in the house during the Trey episode.

Episode 10 got dropped...dang...I love dub Rio...

Episode 11 got dropped...aw man...another Rio... (cries)

Episode 12...dropped...

Episode 13...I wondered where those arm bands came from...

oh, beg my pardon. i thought u wer sayin that they skipped episodes the FIRST time around, so they would skip episodes that would hav been new. now i understand. but i really dont care that they skipped episodes while they showed repeats, for i tape all the new ones!! ^______^ but with most of them fuzzy . besides, i've waited too long for the Faust episode.....which the alarm DID NOT wake me up to.....hm, now that i think about it, they shouldve showed that episode the next week, so I WOULD'VE WOKEN UP TO SEE YOUR SHOW AT THAT D**** TIME OF YOURS, YOU SON OF A B****** !!!!! You'd have to upload whatever icon you wanna use onto your own server. No one's gonna let you use an avatar directly from their site because it's mooching off of their bandwidth.

Actually, this thread is kinda old...it was when Fox started showing Shaman King the second time around...right around the beginning of the winter semester...they dumped alot of episodes to catch themselves up to the syndicated stations.

I'll have to see if I can get Lovely to drop this thread because of how old it is...or lock it or something...
