Well I'm watching the eppy right now and they actually kept the name of the river Yamato no Orochi. I don't know if his attacks that though...it's still not over.
Edit: Yeah they kept the name of Ryu's attack as well. I guess it was hoping a little too much that they wouldn't change the name of the Chou Senji Ryakketsu though. It's been translated as "Book of the Shaman"

Another episode for which I've never seen the original. Seeing Horo Horo boarding and hollaring was funny. Him having the time of his life, then wiping out, then Ren mentioning that he needs to be kept on a leash. ;D
My best friend and I rip the dubs apart on AIM all the time and she said Lyserg's being a real girl thingy. I just thought it would be funny to post. I don't know how accurate they were with this episode, but they seem to have Lyserg's huge inferiority complex covered. Maybe a little too covered, I'm not sure.

I liked this eposide but guess what I did ?Well I had another soccor game and I got to watch half of the first part and i was supposed to tape the whole eppy but it only taped the half i missed and taped over the middle of eppy 28 that I had taped which,by the way,taped over eppy 26! 
I have the worst time with vcrs!! 
Anyway,very good eppy,I liked it when Horo-Horo was snowboarding and then wiped out and Ryu asked him if that was a frozen loogie or a new nose jewarly XD.Laugh so hard!!Also i love Ryu eppys,there the Best!! ;D Oh! I notice something!There was a guy in Hao's group that looked like the bad-guy version of Ryu!! 
DOES EVERYONE HAVE A EVIL TWIN IN THIS SERIES!?!

Nah, just Yoh. The similarities between Ryu and that other guy are just due to the style.

Dear Lord, 4kids specially crafted this episode to give me a hard time writing the comparison @_@ .
It's not so much that the dialouge was that different (well, except for a scene where Ryu and Tokagero were talking about Yoh). It's just that a good amount of scenes were showed in a different order than they were originally @_@ . For example, the scene of the boys in the snow actually came AFTER scenes involving a short scene of just Ryu back in Japan and then the scene with Manta in Japan. Gaaaaaa... lot's of moving around that's hard to explain @_@ .

Out of order? Hm dubbers seem to enjoy doing that for no reason. *cough,digimon movie,cough* The "out of order" thing was NOT for no reason for the Digimon movie. See, each of the individual Digimon movies do not last very long in comparison to American movies. So, to make one large movie, the U.S. producers mixed in three Digimon movies to make one. |

in all reality, the 3rd japanese digimon moive was VERY long (had it in japanese)
anyways, for this ep. i kinda liked it. i liked seeing rio's hair down for once, it looked way better than the pointy look.
and yeah, whats up with hao having makeshift dead enders. it would've been hillarious to see yoh's team mates have look alikes on hao's team.

I was hoping for more of a confrontation between Yoh and Zeke. He just sort of stopped by to say hi.
Also I get that Lyserg has an inferiority complex, but man they certainly laid it on thick didn't they?
I am a pessimist myself but man he brings ME down.
