Episode 51 TECHNICALLY goes against some of the logic that the series has set up, but... but... It's really cool ^^; . heh.
Ah well~
I enjoy this episode for it's coolness. And, I'll admit to liking Fudou a bit too (I pitty the poor kid.)
Oh yeah, Manta fans, you'll like this episode.
For Team the Ren fans... well... the team doesn't really show up in this episode except in a few "last episode" flashbacks. Sorry.
Mikihisa fans. If your a fan of Dub-Mikihisa... WHY? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.
Kidding. Miki shows up a lot in this episode too (Is that a spoiler?.) On the bright side, his TRUE laid back personality shows up in some of his body movement.
Have I ever told you guys that I strongly dislike Mikihisa's dub characterisation and voice? I have? Oh. Woops~
(Kind of kidding. Kind of.
It just doesn't feel right if I miss a chance to rant on the subject *laughs*)
As an almost totally unrelated side note, the subs I watched for this episode were AnimeFaith instead of Soldats (Lovely prefers the Soldats subs...)
This episode originally had a LOT to do with Budhist concepts and mythology/writings. Probably won't stick in the dub. They'll probably go as far as painting over things.
It's time to get loud! It's time to represent! S-K-U what time is it?
It's SPOILER time! Woooo~

*Mikihisa has such a fun personality. Why must the dub kill it? WHY?
Anyhoo, the next episode shows some flashbacks of Episode 50, but for a reason. You get to see a few things from a different point of view. Such as Miki helping out Silva.
Miki's fun though, because while he's writing out the spell/scripture on Silva's clothes to "unseal" him, he also draws a funny "angry Silva" picture on Silva *laughs*.
*This episode has a LOT of Budhist scripture written on things. The writings are kind of important, since they are what "seal" items. Will the dub do the stupid thing and just erase over it completely?
*There is a cute joke where Yoh complains about the long name of his new sword (and the long process it takes to say the whole "oversoul" speach.) Anna then goes on to pronounce it quickly and perfectly. Since the dub already simplified the name, I'm assuming this joke will be changed.
"Amimaru in Harusame in Futsu no mitama Sword(Tsurugi)!" Wooh! It IS long.
*Silva "peeping" spying on Yoh . And his easy capture *laughs*.
*Random fact: The team from the last episode "Dai re Doh" Apparently means "Big Spirits Temple"
*There aren't actually a lot of signs that say "patch" this episode. A lot of the signs are just geometric symbols. Such as triangles.
*Manta's so cute....
Then he's forced to hit Yoh *weep*
*Fudo's Japanese voice sounds familiar.... (I need to look it up.)
*Faust gets pissed. Yay! Pissed Faust= Crazy Faust = fun *laughs*.
*It's important to mention that the Budhist exorsists DO NOT use oversoul.
*Yoh has an evil sense of humor. It's funny when he's freaking out Fudou though. The kid kind of deserved it.
*In the end though... I felt bad for Fudoh. Poor kid, he was just bitter because he got possesed a lot when he was younger. He's not evil, he was just ignorant...
*...and in need of a GOOD Anna slap. Get him Anna!
*Anyhoo.... Shaman Manta! It kills some of the logic of the series but... it's cool! His weapon is a toy hammer how funny/cool/cute is that? And his oversoul medium is a laptop computer! C'mon! It's great man *laughs*.
*LOVE the ending. Poor Mosuke but... it's funny! "I don't know how to go back [to heaven] *cries*..."
