Whoo, the end of the ep! Even though I was expecting it, thanks to here, it was still whoa. I can imagine it would be an even more powerful scene with the blood there. Horo had some line there, didn't he? I remember Jocko(/Chocolove) did. They decided that he wasn't moving and didn't look as if he was breathing...

Was Horo's (and Rio's) furyoku gone or just broken? When Ren did giant spirit control, I thought he said that he was going to put everything into that attack, but then he managed to create his weapon later anyway. Now that I type it, I can't remember if they broke his giant control or is Ren just dissolved it on his own. Geez, I really need to start recording the eps instead of just watching them so I can watch them more than once and remember them better.

Hypothetical/what if question;
If Ren had slipped out of the first block (like tried to angle his kwan dao to one side to make the other weapon hit the ground) to block the second attack, would the first attack had hit Horo since he didn't really move or would the angle have moved it over enough? I was thinking he was going to do that until he said he was never going to move. However, I was thinking that he didn't mean literally from that position but more of from that spot in front of Horo to protect him.

Yeah, Bow Wow scares me. I always think he will turn into a giant rappin demon dog and bite my head off. But enough of my silly fears, am I the only one who thinks that they would edit the serpant coming out of the guy's pants? It just seemed odd... and a little disturbing.

Zinc's snake did look a bit creepy. With the blood edited out of the scene, it looked like Ren was hit in the back and got knocked out. I liked the episode though. No real complaints. (except Horo saying "dude" so much)

I dont remember what Nichrome's VA sounds like but Zinc's VA is the same as Mako Tsunami in Yugioh. and i didnt get to watch it cause baseball took the slot but it sounds like a good episode.

I live in the west coast, and I didn't get to watch this episode because of baseball too. However I checked my TV listings and it seems that they'll be playing this episode on at 4:30am Monday morning. FOX will play episode 60 next Saturday.

Just watched the episode, and it was not that bad, excluding the little Ren incident.

It kind of seems odd that the Great Spirit was yelling about how no one should be in the forest, yet it opens up dozens of light pillars that teleport those that walk in to the Star Sanctuary. Yeah, real smart....

Yay, so Lyserg has his crystal back, and not only that, it's an X-Law brand dowsing crystal ;D!!!!

I was kind of disappointed with Silva's past in the dub. For one thing, I believe this is Hao's first time as a participant in the shaman tournament.

First life: Was the onmyouji that went nuts from reading minds constantly, wanted to kill all humans (without shamanic powers or second sight), ended up exterminated by the good ol' Asakura family. 500 years later...

Second life: Was reborn into the Patch tribe as an officiate of the fight. Tried to recruit followers and kill the humans again, but was killed by Yohken Asakura and Matamune. However, he managed to steal the SoF before leaving. Hao had a wife and children, though, and that line would eventually spawn our favorite Patch officiate, Silva. And to finish this up, after another 500 years...

Third life: Reborn again into the Asakura family, along with his twin, Yoh. Almost got murdered by a bunch of leaves, retaliated by burning his father's face, had a chat with his mother, then left. Such a great son ...

Anyways, it just was annoying to hear them say Hao participated in the tournament in every one of his lives when he did not. And they never mentioned the fact that he stole the SoF, one of the nature spirits that I think was from the Great Spirit itself.

Meh, too bad for Bill. Instead of at least going out in a blaze of glory, he just explodes because he could not handle the power.

Is it just me, or does anyone think Zinc is a big copycat of Silva. I mean, both have five spirits, both have bird spirits that become wing oversouls, both have spirits that attach onto their legs, both have left arm-shield oversouls, and both have a tentacle attack (though at least Silva keeps it on his arm; Zinc, that's another story... ), and later, *Zinc even creates a giant cannon oversoul like Silva's!!*

I learned something new from the dub: getting directly hit with the sharp end of a giant sword does not necessarily mean you will get cut, you could just receive a concussion.

Oh well, hopefully, they won't get rid of Lyserg and Ren's "friend" speech next week...

What time is it going to play because the week before Shaman King was on at 10 rather than at its usual timeslot of 11.
