SAVE SK FROM BEING "CROP"I realise many of read/watch the English version of Shaman King, so you'd not realise the CRISIS that is happening right now in Japan, concerning this wonderful comic. The comic series has just been FORCED TO END in JUMP (the jap version, of course)!! it was ended because of the unethical editors, who, because they are deseprate to get a new series to start, decided to FORCE THE AUTHOR TO GIVE A ENDING. It was NOT the author's will to end this series!!! (In other words, it is a ending that is rushed and not part of the plan! it is what the Japanese call 'cropping') There was NO warning, NO explanation (I'm unsure as to how far you guys have read, but if you have read anything up pass vol. 20, you'll realise there are A LOT of 'mysteries' that has not been explained, and this so call 'ending' solves none!!) Japanese Fans have immediate started a no. of petitions in order to save Shaman King. Please, if you don't want to expect a disappointing ending, please help and add your name to give Shaman King the right to be re-established in JUMP (so that there is a proper ending!!!) The petition sites: pink.candybox.to/akitan839/phello/phello2.cgipuro-azul-plata.pupu.jp/page/cgi-bin/bbs/apeboard_plus.cgiwww.style-21.com/abc/utikirix/index.htmlIt is in Japanese, but the love of Shaman King spreads across the world, does it not? Langauge is not a barrier!!!! Japanese knows a few words in English!! There are msgs here from China, Hong Kong, Australia... every fan from all parts of the world!!!!! Just write something to show that you DO love SK, and writes FROM [your country], to show that there ARE SK FANS out there, and we DEMAND a re-ending!!!

Yes, it's such a crisis that a manga has to end. Never mind the fact that they're billions of homeless children out there that're starving. *notes the sarcasm in his post*

I have to agree with Takato. I don't think it's the end of the world if it does end.

Well, it kind of sucks that it's being forced to end like that, but well... if the editors want it, that's the way it goes.... However, I hope the Japanese fans are able to convince the editors to give Takei the opurtunity to finish it as he wants. It's a bit ironic though. Ussually Jump editors encourage thier artist/writers to stretch out the stories as much as they can *coughDBZcough* Edit: Oh yeah, and for the record I've only read up to volume 7 of the manga. Good stuff ^_^ , the story and it's details are fleshed out a bit better than the anime.

Man that stinks, I think Shaman king is even better than (I dare say the name HARRY POTTER)
It's better because it has one thing Harry Potter did not have enough Humor in the mix.
I think it would do really good in the US if VIZ wouls put out the manga faster.
I have a lot of friends who would read the manga if it came out faster.
but I hope Takie will be able to give the proper ending to shaman king.

guys, I'm not saying its the end of the world if a manga ends.... (any series has to end SOME day).
But can't you see the unfairness in this? JUMP is not respecting the basis right of its authors! There are so many mysteries that have not been answered, isn't it natural for fans to be unhappy with the ending? Isn't it basis respect for an author to give an ending that he wanted??

I suppose it would be nice if the mangaka could produce the ending he wanted to, but I don't know about the unsolved mysteries thing. Personally, I think having somethings unsolved makes the series more fun becuase it makes for lots of interesting message board discussions. ^^ Plus, you could always write/read Shaman King fanfics if you wanted more of it.

As much as it does stink to have it end so abruptly, it happens. Big O only had the one season for a long time and it just left you hanging at the end, the only reason the second season came out was because of the American market.
I'd also love to see Shinesman turn into a series, but alas that's only 2 episodes long and also leaves you hanging with a lot of mysteries. "Shinesman Salmon Pink!"
What's my point? It happens. What can we do about it? Well, we can hope that the Japanese get enough people protesting it to actually convince SJ to continue the series. And if it doesn't happen? We will just have to wait and see.

Although I hate to see it happen, I don't think that petitions will be able to help it if they really want it to go... Really sucks to see it happen though, happened to one of my favorite mangas a while back in SJ... (although, in that case it had only really just been starting when it got cancelled)

To bad it probably wouldn't be profitible for Takei to try to finish/publish the rest of the story independantly.... Well, I think to do THAT he would have to have permisson from the JUMP editors anyway :/ .

JUMP DO seem to have the policy that if they get enough ppl they do restart a series. It HAS happen to other series before.
and anyhow, you don't know if it won't work if you don't even TRY, right??

This is quite unfortunate. All series have to end, but, rushing things is never a good way to go. Many people didnt like Yu-Gi-Oh ending, but, now there is a new comic, only based on the card game with almost no meaning what so ever.... and a new anime, based on the card game... in a school, with, no attributes of the original which made it stand out to me... (ei- the Egyptian backstory).
Well..... Here is hoping that it doesnt end, and if it does, that the Author can make it work out in a way which is dignafied.

ive found out ><! horrible ending!! i got this summary from the Shaman King House message board---> highlight if you wanna read it... ** Well, basically, there were no more competitors in the SF, the only one left was HAO, so he was proclaimed as Shaman King. Yoh & Co. decided to kill him while he was merging with the Great Spirits, but to do this they had to fight with the patch priests. In the fight with the 1st one, Faust died, the priest was defeated by Yoh. In the fight with the 1st priest, Seyram & Redseb went to fight HAO, only to get beaten by Goldva, and to know that they were dead, after that HAO absorbed Seyram's soul, and gave Redsed the SOF, so he could deliver it to Yoh & Co., saying that he didn't needed it anymore. The second one was the one who tested Horo-Horo for the SF (sorry, but I forgot the name of the patch priests), he beat the hell out of Horo Horo, and stopped the fight. Then Redseb appeared with the SOF. After it, they were going to sleep to continue their task the next day, but then Takei-san put this word at the end: "Owari", which means "The End".
*** that was supposedly the last chapter.... one more thing...ive been wondering...how come SJ made Takei end SK, but they wanted DBZ to prolonged...?
