I'm sure he meant Shaman King!! I'm waiting VERY impatiently for Vol.6 as well.
I don't collect Shonen Jump either. I did happen to pick up one copy and don't get me wrong. I loved just about every manga they have in it (Except Dragonball Z. I don't know why but for some reason that series just doesn't appeal to me), but it's rather expensive.
There's only a few mangas I'm really interested in. I'm getting ready to begin my One Piece collection. As soon as I get my other birthday check from my parents, I'm off to the bookstore!! XD

I don't get Shonen Jump. ^_^ All we get from Japan is water. XP
Haha, I'm getting all 32 volumes pretty soon! >D
Random Person: But they're in Japanese...
.....*hits person with a rock* Minor setback...o_O;;
Oh, and probably the reason the GNs don't come out so quickly, is because Shonen Jump usually finishes a volume in their magazine, so they don't release the GN until the volume in SJ is complete.
o_O If anyone understood my strange wording of that....

I gotcha, resurie. And Jr! Two things: 1. Subscribing is pretty cheap, and 2. DBZ ended this issue, so ya don't got ta worry 'bout that.

Anyone got any good guesses as to what's gonna replace DBZ?
The only reason I don't like Hikaru no Go is because it seems there's like twice as much of it than anything else. (The artwork is beautiful, though.)

XD lol Jr. almost any magazine you can subscribe to but pick up off the newsstand instead is a total rip-off. In any case, SK Vol. 6 I believe is scheduled for a May release date, which is TWO MONTHS longer than we usually wait (which is three months)!!!

yes it is way too slow and very hard to find the shaman king manga in Georgia... I mean I finally found volume 5 today in south Carolina after searching for months >_<
viz=getting on my nerves because I have to save money for the mangas when I want to blow it on other stuff but still want the manga badly >_______< ...
and everyone at the 4-kind message boards said the Manga was being marketed good... this just proves it's not.
On the bright side (for me anyway ^^; the 6th volume comes out near my birthday so I can get it as a present from my mom or dad rather than spending my money on it ;D

Yeah, but someone said that Shonen Jump is up to chapter 56... The GN's have around 9 chapters per volume, and Vol. 5 goes up to chapter 44. That means, in order to release Vol. 6, they would only need to get up to Chapter 53. Since they're already to Chapter 56, why do we have to wait two more months for volume 6? *spazzes with impatience*

And this topic makes no sense considering you can buy the original volumes for about 3.00-4.00 U.S dollars. Just buy it all at once and have someone do text translations if you're a poor sap who can't read Japanese. Don't even bother with the censored English versions.

Well, for a start, I live in the UK.
Secondly, I like to read them over and over and over. ^_^
And, most obviously, I don't think anyone would want to sit and translate 32 volumes for me. My Japanese is too weak to read them all by myself. XD

And it would be so hard to convert pounds or whatever to yen or U.S dollars? And I'm sure there is either someone on the net who can translate it, or you can use it as an excuse to further your learning of the Japanese language.

Yeah, but my Japanese won't get so good so fast. XD By the time I could learn it good enough to read them, they would all be out in English. XD

Yeah, but translating those chapters would be a LOT of work. Especially if one is not too familiar with kanji. I just read the versions in SJ and I have Vol 1 in paperback. Also, there is a site that has translations up past 114, I don't know how far past though. If I ever get brave enough I will buy the Japanese ones online.

Yes!! Kanji is so hard to read. ;__;
I can read Katakana fine (sometimes get 'So' and 'N' mixed up though XD), and bits of Hiragana (slowly learning)...
...come to think of it, I don't even know how many chapters there are in total... would someone mind telling me just what a long haul I'm in for?

Anyhoo~ Rapid, there are 32 volumes, and there's usually 8 chapters per volume...multiply...256 chapters. o_O And~ Volume 32 apparently has 9 extra pages that went unpublished. >D Whee~

Ah, that's the thing. ^^
Shaman King is actually second place in favourites spot (after the almighty and perfect Sonc of course XD).
Beyblade was my 2nd fave, until the show ended, allowing Shaman King to steal that spot. ^^
Now, if they made a Sonic manga, I'd gladly buy it all, despite it being pretty much unreadable to me. XD
I mean, even if I can learn Hiragana (enough to get by), there's no point in learning the alphabet and not knowing enough words. XD
