No, you're not the only one who noticed, but isn't Ren voiced by a girl? Of course, Yoh's japenese laugh gives away the fact "he" is being voiced by a girl as well.

And about Ren's voice, I never really pay attention to it. But yes, he is voiced by a girl, Paku Romi to be exact.

Yes, and did you also know, that Romi Paku does several very important voices in recent popular shows? She also does the voices for Edward Elric in Full Metal Alchemist and Temari in Naruto(that character is a girl). I seemed to think that she did Ren and Ed's voices very similarly.
