Anyway, I've recently started a Shaman King Fan Soundtrack project, and I've been curious, seeing as I haven't seen a topic devoted to this on SKU yet (if so, feel free to lock this).

Basically, it's just what song you think fits what character/etc, compiled into a 'soundtrack'. If you're listening to the radio, and hear a song about fire, you could relate that to Hao, right? Or maybe if one of your favorite bands has a new single about sexy Italian men, you could relate that to.....okay. I'm sure you get the idea. Not just lyrics--that in general is a pretty loose term. Even instrumental music can remind you of something in Shaman King.

I'll start off:

Building A Mystery- Sarah McLachlan (describes series in general).

Reason: I'll consider this my token Shaman King song. Every line seems to describe so many characters and ideas.... I'm not a very big fan of hers, but it just...fits so well. Almost scarily so.

"Bleed Black" by A.F.I has one part that always makes me think of Faust:

Hmm, I think "The Scientist" by Coldplay would goes well with Faust. Can't really explain, but look at the lyrics:

Don't ask me why, but I seriously think that Whitney Houston's When You Believe matches Yoh's personality. After all it's a song about having faith even in times of trouble and he seems to do that nicely.

Ooh, you're right niji, I saw an AMV about Hao once and the song was 'Unwell' by Matchbox 20 and it went quite well with his character. Also, 'All Shook Up' by Elvis Presley would go sorta well for Ryu (blame that theory on a dream I had. To cut a long story short, the cast of Shaman King and some random people from Inuyasha were in a karaoke bar, and Ryu was singing that song to Lyserg. I have a strange mind.). The lyrics go:
