Who would you want to play what roles? Your casting choices can be living or dead actors.
I think Michelle Tractenberg should play Anna because she'd be a good look-alike with a dye job. Et tu?

A younger Bruce Cambell should play Ryu. (ash, from Evil Dead 1,2, army of darkness) toshiro mifune has to be in the movie somewhere, he's one of the best actors of all time. maybe for the fact that he is almost 80, he'd make an awesome amidamaru. That would be perfect. Mifune was amazing in Yojimbo, and Sword of doom.(that movie is friggin sweet) I cant think of anyone else now. wait we all know bruce lee is pailong, duh. god who would play jun. I dont like think of women who come close in terms of beauty to my girlfriend. I'll leave that open. cant think.....

Oddly enough I've thought about this before...
ok just one character.
Johnny Deep SO has to be Faust,He could really pull it off.
As a observer of Johnny's mad skillz I'd say he can do the whole mood swing thing nicely...

With compositing, scale doubles and forced perspective, you really don't need a midget for Manta and you can really play up Takei's characters with their varying heights. And technology can allow Bruce Lee to play Bailong, particularly if this movie was made some years from now.

AAAAAAAAAH I must take a stand and say keep johnny depp out of this movie. I couldnt handle seeing him ruining my favorite character in the series, lets get a real charismatic german to do the job, i dont know his name, but he's out there. dont let peter jackson direct, he'll screw up the story, but direct it beautifully(although i do love his early movies, bad taste dead alive, and lotr was beautiful.I'm opionated, but I cant help it.
Dont get me wrong here, I do not dislike johnny depp, I just don't care. He's not a big deal. keep orlando bloom out of it, I think mitch hedberg, rip, or jim brewer could pull off yoh much better.

Orlando Bloom as Lyserg. >D Haha :D Orlando certantly has enough fangirls to fill the part, doesn't he? But on the topic of Faust, I really can't think of any German actors who would pull off that part..I want to say Ben Becker, he has a sexy voice, but it's too smooth compared to Faust's angry razorblade voice, and how it can change back to "sweet" and camp in a second. :\ fft Dx |

Gotta say I'd prefer they cast everyone's backgrounds as close as possible. I love how Shaman King's so diverse. A US film would probably go with Caucasian Yoh, Brit Ren, Native American Horo, etc.... but I'd like to keep it with the original ethnicities. I agree. He plays spooky roles very well.
More choices from me: Horohoro- Frankie Muniz (I think he could pull off Horohoro's many funny facial expressions well.)
Milly- A very young Drew Barrymore (If only she were still as young as she was when she did E.T.)

Unfortunately, he hasn't got the acting skills (unless he's suddenly developed more than six expressions?), or the cute-angsty looks. I can't remember his name, but the guy who played Klaus Baudelaire in the A Series of Unfortunate Events movie would be PERFECT as Lyserg. |
