Well I'm disturbed now...by my own mind.

Oh, and there's a sort of spoiler for the anime ending in here...and be it known that I'm still not that far into the series, but have access to spoilers. So this is probably all wrong, but I don't care.



All right, with that out of the way, let Innle begin....

FACT ONE: There is a rumor broadly circulating that in next summer's movie, Envy somehow starts World War II. Or just that WWII is started.

FACT TWO: The government of Amestris (the country where Fullmetal Alchemist is set) is similar to that of early-twentieth-century Germany. (Government seems to be almost exclusively military, with a Fuhrer ruling it.)

INNLE'S CONCLUSION: Even if it's a Hagaren-universe WWII, it's not entirely certain that the character's we've all grown to care about will be on what we consider to be the right side. If it's in our universe, I'm still not entirely sure who everyone would side with...but just ignore my almost-comically-overstated notes on a theory that's probably just the product of eating too much turkey, then going downstairs and reading Hagaren manga with a documentary on WWII playing in the background.

I also noticed that Roy with a moustache looks frighteningly like Hitler, but that's probably just me and my conspiracy-theorist mind. And the turkey.

1- rumors don't matter 'cause no matter how much people are gosiping, NO ONE but the creators know what they are going to do In other words, don't worry about it ^_~ .

2- WWII thing, well, it's the wrong time period.

The whole blimp thing happened during WWI (I believe). It's a real event! I looked it up back in the day ^^; . *cough* anyhoo, I kind of doubt the anime will devellop that far ahead.

World War I took place from 1914 to 1918
World War II took place from 1939 to 1945

Oh, fun random fact:
The occult society that Hohenheim joins EVENTUALLY (after many many years) develops into the Nazi party. (I heard this online from a history buff).

And I think the manga and anime are REALLY different...especially on points involving Greed and what becomes of him....
