Isn't it Castle in the Sky? Whatever...
I liked Mononoke Hime the most. I first watched that movie when I was like, 8. I never knew it was PG-13, but I still love it.

I've only seen Spirited away out of all of Miyazaki's works and let me tell yo I LOVED it.
Saw it at the cinema the first time then bought the dvd when it came out and watched it over and over again through the months until it got scratched then went out and bought it again. ;D

I've watched The Castle of Cagliostro, Nausicaa, My Neighbour ToToRo, a part of Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away,Kiki's Delivery Service and Castle in The Sky. I really enjoyed them all, but especially enjoyed Castle of Cagliostro and Castle in The Sky.

I've seen just about all except Panda go Panda and Castle of Cali. I worship Miyazaki-san. He is my absolute hero. My fave movies were prob'ly Porco Rosso and Spirited away, or maybe Mononoke too. The Nausicaa manga's awesome too. Miyazaki-san turned me on to anime, and I can never be thankful enough.

My current Miyazaki favorite would have to be Laputa! After seeing that one, it is my belief that every single "ancient flying fortress" was based of the one in Laputa. I mean really, what was there before that movie? I could be wrong, but I don't think so, considering how influencial Miyazaki-san is to everything.

Actually, if I remember correctly, Laputa is based on a story from Gulliver's Travels, although I don't know anything more about it....

Meh, you guys probably already know this but...XD;
There's a reason "Laputa" was changed to "Castle in the Sky". "La puta" is a bad word in Spanish. XP
And I honestly found Laputa a bit boring. .__. I mean, it was fun at first, but then it just got to a point where you're all "Isn't the movie over YET?! ><"

It does seem to go on a lot longer than you'd think, huh? As far as the name change, it's a little annoying, since it's a Japanese title that just happens to share the same pronunciation as the word you described. I can understand the reasoning, though. But, I'll never call it by it's U.S. name. My Japanese major will not allow it.
