Wow, what a f*cked up episode.
I didn't trust that Tucker guy from the beggining. The guy that does Hiei's voice does him, and that's one really evil voice. I figured out everything when Ed talked to the Kurrin/Lupin dub guy (Forgot the characters name). I felt so bad for the girl.
I knew Scar was going to get Toguro's voice, they look the same lol. I really like this guy's gimmick, he's gonna be a hell of a character.
This episode really hit me hard, and made me want to kill Tucker. Amazing how a cartoon can do that, more the reason why this series kicks ass.

I didn't like the way the episode was done (or the last one). I was so annoyed by Nina's speech impediment (my poor Satomi Koorogi... she did Nina so wonderfully... Then again, I suppose they're 0 for 2 now on doing her characters well... at least they pronounced Nina's name correctly).
Here's the stuff that I took notes on for episodes 6 and 7 on stuff that was wrong (from memory... I haven't seen those episodes in a while, they're hard to watch):
Episode 6-
--Ed's line "What to wear to graduation." I'm pretty sure that it wasn't there. --I believe that Roy's description of Tucker was wrong... besides the fact that his name is Shou ("ou" = "oh"), not Show (the ending sounding like "how"). --Roy saying that they have to "find their own tutor" and that he 'suggested' Tucker... I'm pretty sure that Roy told them that he had arranged for them to stay with Tucker before the exam. --Nina's aforementioned speech impediment. No, Satomi Koorogi voiced her fine before, I don't see why it was changed. She's supposed to be almost 5, and my Pastor's 3-year-old granddaughter speaks clearer than the dub's Nina. --The whole "don't tell him to roll over" line... it was originally "You're Tucker-san?" --Tucker's comment about it being sexist to say that the house is without a woman's touch... that was just uncalled for. --Alchemy floor? Try pretty much the ENTIRETY OF THE FIRST BRANCH OF THE LIBRARY. --Ed hoping that Alexander's not using Al as a hydrant... he really wanted to see if Al was playing instead of researching. --"Mrs. Hughes" Does the dub have something against calling people by their first names? --"It's here" "the tea?" "the baby" I know there was something silly there anyway, but I just thought that these lines were stupid. --Gracia's "party games" line... I believe she was originally apologizing to Ed about ruining his party. --"E-day" stupid, stupid, stupid --the idea of stuffing Alexander in Al... no, they were going to see what Roy said. --Umm... since when is the Fuher supposed to be Sean Connery? --Al's worries about being split from Ed. Um, why would they be split up? --"dog of the state"... grrr... it's Dog of the MILITARY (at least they fixed it in 7). --My notes say "blimp or balloon" but I don't remember what it's in reference to...
Episode 7- --Havok has a good voice ((shock!!)) --"Dog of the Military" is back (yay!) --The OP is still there ((I thought they might cut it, but they didn't)) --I believe the title card was moved, or the OP was. I'm pretty sure originally the title card was right after the OP, as it is in all the other episodes. --"Let 'em have it, daddy!" I think she said something more along the lines of "good luck" --I don't remember quite well, but I think the whole "why mommy left" was different. --I have "Just like Ed" with a ? after it, but I don't remember the dub's context... but I think the line is different. --Scheizka has a good voice. I'm happy, she's one of my favorites. --Scar's voice is decent, but I think that they should've given that voice to Roy, and Roy's voice to Scar... Scar SHOULD have a deeper voice. --Um... Hughes really isn't so stupid to let it drop about the serial killer... I'm not sure about the original scene, but if it was originally there, that's way OOC for Hughes... he keeps everything secret, he doesn't tell ANYONE anything. ((okay, checked this, and the difference is that Hughes doesn't originally try to change what he was saying)) --the blood on the corpse was blurred. I don't remember if it was blurred in the original, but around her waist area, the blood was definitely blurred in the dub. --Basque Gran has a crappy voice. Then again, I hate his guts, so I don't mind him having a crappy voice (of course, his original voice was very powerful and demanding, so...) --"The King"? Umm... 1) he was called "The Fuher" last episode, and 2) His name is King Bradley... "King" is his FIRST NAME, not title. --The chimera didn't talk nearly as well in the original... I didn't like the change. --I don't believe Tucker originally used the phrase "Animal testing" (too modern a term for the time period). --Tucker's dialogue with Ed was different. I don't remember how it was in the original, but it was definitely different. --The chimera talked too much. Not just better vocalization, too much dialogue, period. --I believe part of the Scar/chimera scene was edited. I'll have to watch my tape, but I didn't see the spray of blood Saturday night. --The ending got cut. They did show the final image, but originally the ending was interspersed with other images from the two episodes.
...I'll try to get around to updating my site soon.

The whole "Mrs. Hughes" thing originates from American custom - a custom is to call people Mr. or Mrs. Smith if one is a child and he or she is addressing an adult not one's own mom or dad.

As I've noted before (don't remember if it was here or elsewhere), Gracia isn't the only one this was done to. It's the same thing with Roy. Seeing as how these are the ONLY two characters in the series that this is done with (Rose doesn't count, as her last name isn't mentioned in the show, and the other characters called by first name don't seem to HAVE last names), to me, it's pretty important, because it shows Ed's relationship with them.

Hm, I've never watched the anime but Tucker is one of my favorite characters. I'm not sure where the anime and manga run together so I won't say much.

Maybe he's different in the anime, but he's a very complex charatcer. And flawed, like every other human being. He was under a lot of pressure, and I sympathize with him. He did lose his daughter, after all Basically, I'm a psuedo-psychologist, I like to figure out why people are like they are, and do the things they do. Hey, maybe I should be a psychiatrist....I always did have trouble doing dissections... I feel sorry for him.

Envy has already appeared (episode 2, by name), and I believe he shows up in form in episode 14 or so.
Wrath doesn't show up until episode 28 or so.

I forgot to mentiion that tonights episode is one of my favorite episodes in the series. It's just so creepy ^_^ .
Here's how my FMA watchin' when I first saw the series went.
epi1 -- meh
epi 3-- Wow... I need to see more 0_0...
Last episode (7?) -- MY SOUL *WEEP* !
Tonights epi (8?) -- I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

Oh, though I DO like the dub, when the official release gets to episode 8 I HIGHLY recomend checking out the Japanese track. It's some of Romi Paku(Park)'s best work.
