I remember in The end of Evangelion when Asuka says "I DON'T WANT TO DIE" for a slight second an image appears, I pressed pause, and it was Asuka's corpse filled with maggots, I think I still have that picture. CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK (or copy and paste if it doesn't work); web.1asphost.com/pyroidiot/cap007-2.gifHOLY DAM!! I didn't even see that!! This certainly defeats Episode 18 as the most distubing scene. Wow, that is a freaky picture, Mr. Lobster. well, that's about as gory/freaky as it gets until you get to End of Evangelion, but you probably already know that. Still, I say you should at least finish the rest of EVA, since it's quite worth it (but, as you can see from Lobster's pic, End of Eva actually gets worse in terms of gore factor)

Oddly enough, I could handle the gore of End of Evangelion. It was the psychological stuff that got me, as I said. Like when everyone was exploding into LCL... I could handle seeing that, easy... However, listening to Komm Susser Tod was definitely disturbing... That song is too happy sounding, then when you hear the lyrics and see what's going on, then it's the saddest thing on Earth!
But, yeah, I join in warning Lovely not to watch End of Eva. If you ever get back into Eva, and want to watch the movies, I'd suggest watching Death and Rebirth... (But maybe FF through the Eva-01 vs. Eva-03 scene it shows), since it's definitely the tamer out of the two. It only shows the first third/quarter or so of End of Eva- as I said, the tame part. It still has the Asuka corpse thing... I didn't know it was there until the commentary pointed it out... Now I never watch it on pause...
Wow, I have a long post...
Anyways, a new Evangelion creepy moment, is the Asuka "Mind-Rape" scene, this being her wording. I watched the Director's Cut version in Jap, and it is definitely creepy, with all of the "Soryu- Soryu, Asuka Rangurei" and scenes of her torturous past.
Hideaki Anno really must of hated his fans, or at least those death threats...
Well, getting off of the Evangelion topic of my post, I am thinking of doing a new thread like this. You'll see what it is soon.

WOW! Dude, that pic gets my vote! Another thing I found disturbing is when I started reading the SK manga not aware that it has a more graphic nature then that of its anime counterpart. It was during the battle with Faust, when he vivisected Manta. I nearly had a heart attack. Poor Manta...

Oh I have to agree. WOW! They really cleaned up that part for the anime. Even the original anime wasn't as gory. Even after I read that Faust gives his own legs to Eliza? !!! WOW! Yoh went that vicious? I can't wait til vol. 6!!!

I'm probably to only one who thought that picture was cool-looking. >D
Moving on...I haven't seen Death and Rebirth, or The End of Eva. >_> I'm too poor to buy them...and you can't rent anything here...T_T I want to see them! ><
I wouldn't say Hideaki-san hated his fans...maybe he just wanted to mentally damage them. >D (kidding....)
I think he took part in something in FLCL...o_0 I remember him being mentioned in the Director's Commentary... Oh! No no....it was something about his wife...it was in the booklet...I can't check...my friend has my DVDs. >_>
Yeah...that really had nothing to do with this...^^;;

Anno-san was apparently off his meds during the making of Eva *cough*. Also, apparently there is a scene in the movie where some of the hate mail and death threats he had received quickly flash on the screen. (Lovely- who is too scared to WATCH the rest of Eva. But finds the whole thing interesting and read up a bunch about it ^^; .)

That's what the director (forgot his name at the moment @_@) mentioned in the Director's Commentary. XD There's still something about his wife in the booklet...>< Oh, and the fat cat is Miyu Miyu. =D (Fat cats are cool) Thanks Hana. X3

umm... for the one who asked... ((too lazy to check and see who))... umm... Urutsudoji (aka Legend of the Overfiend) is anime porn... there's nothing more than that. I've been told that there are rumors of a plot, but... well, no one I know can get past the idea of how nasty it is to watch it and find out.

It was during Shinji's infamous psychadelic scene, where we got into the real world, I think, just before we see actors from behind, dressed up as Rei, Misato and Asuka. They were literally the death threats and hate mail he got... Maybe even spam (Just kidding)... But, I don't blame you for being scared to watch the rest of Eva, Lovely-chama. (My mix of "-chan" and "-sama", reserved for girl in high power that I am fond of... Not in THAT way, mind...) I have to admit I had to put on comedy CD's like "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Christmas Carol", to help get myself to sleep. I didn't even want to listen to the Series of Unfortunate Events, I was so scared of getting nightmares... *pause* Okay, I admitted WAY too much...

Hmmm most disturbing...
Well... I can't deal with characters suffering, so... I'd have to say my most disturbing anime scene was in episode 22 of an anime called "Peacemaker Kurogane", where one of the characters is suffering from Tuberculosis, and is hacking up blood all over the place. I just about started crying. Poor Souji!

Yes yes, I know, another Yuugiouu example but I think this was pretty disturbing for, y'know, a non 18+ rated Manga. If you have seen it you will know what I mean. It's when you see Pegasus sitting at his duel table, groaning, (I think, I can't read the japanese sound affects) after Yuugi beats him and there is blood on his face, on his shirt and on his 'Cynthia' card. Then in front you see Yami Bakure licking the bloodstained millenium eye. Very disturbing.
