No, I'm not writing about Hot Gimmick because I like it. I'm writing about it because I hate it. Funny, no?
Well, you ask, why do you hate it? One reason is I hate the angsty-teen real-life genre. I mean, I don't "hate" it, I just don't like it as much as some other genres. Give me fighting card games over angsty teens any day.
Also, the major reason why I do not like Hot Gimmick is...Ryouki! Ryouki is a big, fat, moronic, loserly, idiotic, control-freakish, geeky, nerdy, mean, terrible, horrible, inconsiderate, bratty, selfish, unempathetic, unsymphathetic, emotionless, freaky JERK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot honestly see why so many people like him...Ryouki deserves to be kicked in the face by a jackass, and I'd like to be the one to do it. Or maybe tied up and hung over the fires of Mt. Doom...*coughOneRingtoRuleThemAllcough*. I really, really, really feel sorry for Hatsumi for having to put up him with *dons a jackass costume and kicks Ryouki in the face*
So...yeah. T_T Post your thoughts on Hot Gimmick and Ryouki the jerk here.

Yeah. Ryouki's a jerk but... at least he's an honest jerk ^^; (unlike one of the other guys >_> .) It's kind of cute when he trys to figure out relationship things by using MATH XD. I don't know. He's just so BAD at being social that he ends up being cute sometimes.
It is an angsty series though isn't it ^_^;. I like it for it's art though.

I personally love jerk bon bons, hence Ryouki is my envisionment of the perfect guy. I think he is very cute!
Azusa is two things to me. an immature brat and a gary stu freak (only in the first two VLs)
Either way, I can't stand him at all..
And Hatsumi...E gad... shes an idiot!
Love her sister and Subaru though.

Well... I don't LIKE him, I just don't hate him ^^;.
Him being a jerk when talking to people, I can deal with. Him sexually harrasing Hasumi is why I don't like about him.

I really cannot help but feel sorry for Hatsumi...*kicks Ryouki again* My, after all that kicking, Ryouki must have a really deformed face by now...bwahaha, he'll need Botox, and somewhere the treatment will go horribly wrong, and he'll go around with a ^__________^ expression on his face for the rest of his life, bwahahaha. ... Jez, you must like the goodie godie type or..something. Ryoukis a jerk because..well..look at his family. Hes got little to no relationships with his father, and his mother is a controling, cruel lady that dosn't care about her son, just her own status. The only person who has ever been nice to him besides those who want to USE him is his maid, and she is so passive that she could never teach him right from wrong. Ryouki is emotinally immature and doesn't know anything about the world, but he is learning. I love him myself. He reminds me of Draco Malfoy
Hatsumi on the other hand, is whiny, annoying, and cannot unaffix herself with that idiot Azusa. She is niieve and lets people walk all over her.

I like the mean characters, but not when they're THAT mean. I only really like them if they show character development by the third volume or so they appear. So I like the jerks, but not the plain old sadistic people.
And Hatsumi is a very realistic character, I think. Even if someone I really hated--like, say, the main character of Winx Club--was put in her situation, I wouldn't be able to feel but a little bit sorry for her...okay, fine. Not at all. Winx Girl is...*burns* Though sometimes I am infuriated by Hatsumi's lack of self-confidence, I mean, sometimes I just want to yell "DO SOMETHING, GEEZ!!! KICK HIM IN THE FACE!!!" At least Winx Girl would have the sense to burn Ryouki's face or something.

What is Ryouki supposed to do, magically go nice one volume? NO!
Growing takes time, and you usually need something to help you grow. Not some stupid girl that acts like your the spawn of Satan being someone who is to "teach" How can Ryouki change when there is nothing to get him out of the state he is in now?? Huh???
Hatsumi is to nice. OMG, Azusa tried to get me raped..but I just CAN'T hate him, or Daddy, I can't believe its your fault Azusa.s stupid mommy died(even though its her own fault for f***ing you and getting caught)......PLEASE! She is to nice and sides with Azusa waaay more than she should.
