I got another one for you Kenni:
The forehead of the ninja who fights Yusuke in Genkai's tournament; Kazemaru in YuYu Hakusho.
Although, its in both the anime and manga, sans the episodes on Toonami
Still, another good example though.

Things like that seem to push me more in favor of the manga. For example, when publishers turn down the gore factor in many anime adaptations, it sometimes takes away some of the "realness" of the scene. One example that I can think of is in the Bleach anime. The gore in that series has been toned down quite a bit from the manga, especially certain scenes from episode 13. I just feel that when these things get changed from the manga, the sense of "urgency" and "dire situation" get lessened a little bit. I'm sure that it may have been different if I had seen the anime first though. I think this goes for most shows adapted from manga.

It goes something like this in gore factor: Manga>Original anime>Dub I remember in yuugiou, Malik V Mai the electric Viser demon death and viser shock cards that had this built in headscrew (ouch!) were completely changed into a 'plasma eel'. Still hurt though.
Why does the word dub have a smiley over the 'D'?
