Just watched the movie today, and all I can say is: WOW!!!!! I really enjoyed this movie! It has a great dose of action and plot and.............well...............The main character is cool? Anyways, post you opinions here and, if you want, submit your vote as to what voice-over you think is better! I personally LOVE the original japanese voices!

Where's the third option of "neither"?
I hate the movie. Go read the manga.

Really? I didn't know Miyazaki films had manga versions. I must get the Princess Mononoke manga. Which came first, the manga or the film?

I haven't seen this one yet, but my Language Arts teacher (Yes, my TEACHER) said it was good.
Pinkechidna: Yes, Miyazaki films have great mangas. They're not too long, but their COLOURFUL!!! Um...yeah, my uncle got My Neighbor Totoro ones for my sister and I when he went to Japan. They're really nice, too!

I don't think all, or even many of Miyazaki's films have manga.
Tane no Kaze no Nausicaa started as a manga. Miyazaki was a little bit into it (I don't think even halfway) when the film started and was released. He later went back and finished the manga, but I believe it was almost 10 years after it was begun.

Well, My Neighbor Totoro has a manga, as does Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (There's an ad for it in the manga I have) and I saw ones for Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky. Maybe they have Princess Mononoke/ Mononoke Hime mangas, and if I ever saw one I'd buy it 'cause I luff that movie!

Nausicaa is the only ACTUAL manga Miyazaki ever did. They're reprinting it right now... I'm so happy!
The other "manga" you mentioned are "AniManga" produced by Viz. I think. I'd like to think Tokyopop has more taste than to chop up a bunch of screenshots and call it manga.

I'd like to think Tokyopop has more taste than to chop up a bunch of screenshots and call it manga. Nah, they just call it "Cinemanga" when they do it... (or is that what Viz calls it, and Tokyopop does "Animanga"... don't know which is which...)

Everyone watch Nausicaa before reading the manga, or you'll hate the movie. Cutting out the Doroks.... such a waste.... (bursts into tears)
