I have the first 3 dvds of the original series and as soon as i'm done with it i was gonna check the next one out but...if its bad... ;; (off-topic, sry) Nonoo...definitely watch all of the original series. Ai Yori Aoshi ranks as one of my favorite romance animes ever. However, Enishi, the sequel, is basically for the hardcore AYA fans (like me!). Don't get me wrong, it's still enjoyable, but I find it inferior to the brilliance of the original because it really never has a direction. Ever have a romance anime end, and then really wish to see how the lovers spend time together? That is the purpose of this uneventful anime. It still manages to make every episode enjoyable. Truly, this anime is nothing but a slice of life - you watch Aoi and Kaoru (who were already in love) fall even more in love with each other, and then it's a view into the everyday lives of the other characters. It's not bad, just relatively plotless and painless! ^-^
