I can copy what other guys said, sure XD. ""Toei, Aniplex and Cartoon Network has announced the Powerpuff Girls Z at Tokyo International Anime Fair 2005 on April 1. Producers are Sam Register, Seki Hiromi (Digimon) and Katsumata Hideo (Fullmetal Alchemist)"" -The Fawful Kuja "oei is collaborating with Cartoon Network on working on a PPG anime it seems. Ojamajo Doremi's producer Seki Hiromi is working on this series along with Katsumata Hideo from Aniplex who was in charge of Full Metal Alchemist. This was posted on April SECOND in Japan, not first. From what everyones saying its listed under IGPX which is also airing in Cartoon Network Japan. Words are this sucker is not a hoax. Time Warner DID make an announcement a while back that they were interested in producing anime. Also - Sam Register: Teen Titans and Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi is credited with this." -WB Footage shots img.photobucket.com/albums/v181/litakino16506/Archive/1112466393969.jpg posted by one- "Balrog" There ya go. That is all the relavent info I could find on the forum. ^_^ I really hope they include anime versions of original characters. That Green gang, and the Roudy ruffs would be awesome.

I suppose someone saw how they gave Shadow a gun, and assumed weapons are the "in" thing now. In all honesty, it is probably just creative freedom. It will defiantely not be the same continuity as the american based cartoon.

BUMP! I'm bumping this thread since the show has already started. You can download the first episode subbed by BT or watch it at YouTube (Can I say that? I don't think it's licensed, but Cartoon Network is in on it... ) Anyway-- opinions. The episodes follow the same style the American ones were in-- that is, it's separated into two parts. It's not really "15 minute adventures" exactly, though. I wrote two pretty big reviews on my LJ, one before seeing the first episode and another after seeing it-- they both have screencaps included and... stuff. Anyway, here: BeforeAfterUsually my posts are all friends only, so once this topic dies again, I'm re-locking those posts. 8| I'm anal like that. So. Has anyone else seen the first episode yet? Edit; Oh, oh yeah! There's also a manga coming out along with the anime. It premieres in August, I think. In the magazine Ribon. For some reason, the site doesn't work for me unless I re-fresh it, just saying in case someone else has the same problem.

My guess would be that they dont have all their super powers anymore... and its also more intresting to see how they will draw action sceens with weapons to add.
It does seem oddly Austro Boy esche But then again the original Power Puff girls weren't exactly TMNT.... SO its to be expected they stay with a 'cutesy' style.
I'll be intresting to hear the voice actors (If I ever find it on Youtube anyway) and if the series fallows the American version I cant imagine its going to have a long run in Japan....
Its diffrent but not so bad.

I saw a similar topic on the Star Jewel forum. Hmm...it's too bad that Blossom is now boy crazy and it's weird that they gave Prof. Utonium a son. Other than that, I think it looks okay. I actually like Bubbles's attack.

I found part A of the first episode on YouTube for those who are looking. I'll PM it to anyone who's interested. It's not the best quality, but it's not that bad either. My only comment on the episode is that Buttercup's hair looked kinda weird to me sometimes, but that's probably how it's supposed to be.

Hey, do you guys think that the Japanese fans are as upset over the fact that this show kinda butchered the original cartoon's continuity as we are over the fact that 4kids butchered Mankin? I know the original PPG was huge over there, and the thought just popped into my brain.
