I've been watching DBZ uncut on CN and I was really impressed, however the characters did say "darn it" a couple times. They had all the violence of the original and it wasn't even on Adult Swim. Does anyone know why they are allowed to show blood and gore at this time slot? Doesn't the FCC frown on that?
Also, it's really great to hear the new voice actors in the first episodes, it's like watching a completely different show(actually, since it's uncut, it is a completely different show.)
There was one dissappointing thing about it though. They call it uncut, but the original opening(Cha La Head Cha La) was replaced with a really lackluster one. I even preffered "Unlock the Dragon" to it.

Anything is better than Funi's GT opening. "Ahhhhhhhhh-Ahhhhhhhhh-ahhhhhhh-ahhhhh... Welcome to the Grand Tour! Grand Tour, Grand Tour! Dragonball Geeee-T!"

Yeah, I pretty much did'nt bother with DBGT. I'll stick with DB and DBZ thank you very much!
But yeah, I am kinda suprised that they're keeping alot of stuff on TV. Even more suprising, last episode, they showed Gohan, full-frontal in his birthday suit! It was very brief but it was there O _ O!!! (the scene where Gohan changes back to normal after turning into the big ape-monster, Piccolo rips his tail off afterwards)
Still, maybe this means that whats acceptable on TV is changing for the better, and its that sorta thing that gives me more faith in the upcoming Naruto.

I bought the first DVD a while back. It's great I can finally see the Saiyan Saga episodes in Jpanese. The dub is a let down, no kursing and of course there are the music changes. The BGM is ok but the openings and endings suck.

things are definatly changing and its about time american shows have been pushing the envelope and yet they still edited japanese stuff i'm guessing its all about to catch up in a big splash and then we cant complain about poor dubbing...wow....what could it be like? i mean if american dubbers leave the image and properly translate the shows the only thing left is poor voice acting....o.o more on topic i was excited when uncut DBZ came the blood is nice and i think everything is making more sence...

Well, the version on Cartoon Network isn't really "uncut". The attack names were changed still, along with all the music.(the BGM and openings and closings) If you read Beckett Anime Collector, (like me) you'd know this. This is the reason they released The Ultimate Uncut Dragon Ball Z boxset. It has the original opening and closing, Japanese dialogue with English subtitles, (this is the first Dragon Ball Z DVD to have the Japanese dialogue) and the attack names are the original ones. So, if you want the real uncut, buy The Ultimate Uncut boxset.

I saw DBZ uncut when I was like 8 years old, heck it was on TV, in CN at early time slots.
That's Mexican tv for you.
