Hello again everyone,
It's obvious that everyone has a favorite manga/anime title. But I have a different question... who's your favorite manga artist?
My favorite artist (group) is CLAMP. *hugs the Sakura plushie that was given to her* No matter whether it's Mokona-san, Satsuki-san, or Mick-san doing the drawing (Nanase-san always does the writing), I can always find beautiful art and a great story. I haven't seen all of their work yet but I saw enough to know what I like (Mokona: Magic Knight Rayearth and CardCaptor Sakura, Mick: Wish, Satsuki: Chobits).
I've only read one of her stories... but I'd have to say that I'm fond Rumiko Takahashi. But I'm going to hold judgement on her until I've read some more of her stuff (I've only read Inuyasha).
Okay... how about you guys?

Hmm...Intresting question Meta-sama!
To me, hands down, the best Manga artist ever is Takeshi Obata. He drew Hikaru No Go, and also Death Note, and is absolutely amazing at drawing. Especially at hair highlights! XD He is what I consider to be the best, and my favorite, manga artist.

Akira Toriyama - He's practically one of the biggest names in manga, I look up to him.
Eichiro Oda - The manga prodigy, he's the guy I look up to the most.
Ken Akamatsu - I like his art style
Masashi Kishimoto - Because of Naruto lol.

Ken Akamatsu... what manga did he do? love hina, mahou sensei negima, mao chan, and a.i. love you. >>;; moving on.... kubo tite- very good art style, especially in the later chapters. masashi kishimoto- one of the best when it comes to fighting scenes... takei hiroyuki-has a very distinct style in his work kawashita mizuki- is very, VERY good in detail, especially the eyes akamatsu ken- his colored works are pretty...and sparkly. >>;; takeshi obata- simply because death note is pure genius. sadamoto yoshiyuki- the man created nge...NGE! |

My very favorite is Hiroyuki Takei. Just cause. X3 He made Shaman King. >D
Other I like are:
Chiho Saito-She did the Utena manga.
Mia Ikumi-Tokyo Mew Mew. *o* She's awesome.
Arina Tanemura-Full Moon wo Sagashite, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, she's great. And I love her art style. X3
Rumiko Takahashi-Her work owns.
Ken Akamatsu-Negima. Nuff said.
Also, whoever made Azumanga Daioh. Pure genious. xD

Azumanga Daioh is done by Kiyohiko Azuma.
Hiroyuki Takei - Art style. I love his style. And his humor. Good Lord, he's a genius when it comes to humor. o__o
Tanemura Arina - Her artwork is absolutely beautiful. And although I despise Mitsuki, Full Moon Wo Sagashite is such a wonderful series.
Kawashita Mizuki - ICHIGO 100% AND LILIM KISS. Her artwork is so detailed and even realistic in some ways. And very beautiful as well. And her manga owns you. OWNS YOU. *hiss*
Akamatsu Ken - NEGIMAAAAAAA. *dies* No, seriously. I didn't really like Love Hina; but his artwork, style, and stories are all wonderfully done.
Takeshi Obata - DEATH NOTE. RYUUKU. BELT. >0 ...And his art work is extremely well done too. And good Lord, the man must be a genius to come up with things in Death Note.
Masashi Kishimoto - Simply because he created Gaara. *shot* No, seriously, like shizu said, he does extremely well art when it comes to fights. And his art style is unique. It looks a bit sloppy lately in Naruto though.
Kozue Amano - I haven't been able to read Aria YET. >_> ;; The manga Amano-san created; but simply looking at the art of this manga makes me want to buy it. Badly.
CLAMP - Their artwork. Period. >\

I really, really like Hiroyuki Takei... the art is great, and he's good at putting in little quirks that you have to pay attention to in order to notice. Example: The turtle in the middle of the Tao's Kyonshi army. <Volume 7>
I also like Natsuki Takaya. Her work in Fruits Basket is very pretty...

-Tite Kubo- Bleach
-Takashi Obata- Hikaru no Go. I personally am not into too much of his manga (though I did enjoy SJ's preview of Death Note) but his art is gorgeous.

Takeuchi Naoko-san (I'm surprised nobody has mentioned her yet): Her artwork in the classic series Sailor Moon is just always gorgeous and never lets you down.
Clamp: I like how they always seem to have a different unique style of art in each new series they release.
Takahashi Kazuki-san: I just like the unique and somewhat bizarre way he draws his characters in Yugioh.

Arina Tanemura - Just about everything about her mangas are beautiful. Her art, her storylines, her originality... Just fantastic. She's my current idol, in fact.
Rumiko Takahashi - She was my idol for the longest time. I always thought her mangas were so funny. She drags them out a bit, yes, but she's still pretty cool. I <3 Maison Ikkoku forever.
Gosho Aoyama - Detective Conan, Magic Kaitou, Yaiba... All just awesome. And his art style is interesting.
Mia Ikumi - Her animes are so cute! x3 I also love her art style.
Hayao Miyazaki - His movies are just beautiful.
Satoshi Kon - I haven't been able to see his other animes, but I did love Paranoia Agent.
CLAMP - Pft, who doesn't like CLAMP?
Yu Watase - DEFINATELY one of my favorites. I love her mangas. The art is nice, the storylines are superb, and they're very funny, yet have great drama. My only problem is that she seems to have an obsession with rape. o__o;
Aaand... Whoever made the genius that is Azumanga Daioh. I guess that's it. >>;

My most favorite manga-ka is Watase Yuu. I spazz whenever something by her comes out.
I also like Akamatsu Ken, Kubo Tite, CLAMP, Sugisaki Yukiru.
