According to dattebayo, there will be 23 more weeks of naruto filler till they get back on track with the main storyline.
So my advice is: If you dont like fillers,dont watch naruto for another 23 weeks.

October and November is when new shows start in Japan. We'll probably get the Kakashi Gaiden then.

ohshit, theyre gonna do teh Kakashi gaiden? BADASS. That has got to be one of the coolest manga sections as of yet, twill be awesome to see animated.

Well, according to NarutoFan, who got their source from a Studio Pierrot exec, the fillers will continue to be released until sometime Spring 2006, approximately 1 year after they started. So basically, for the next 27 weeks, it will be all filler. Happy waiting!
Also, I'm glad fillers exist, because they allow the manga to progress while the anime is lagging far behind. What Studio Pierrot is doing, is letting the manga get 1 year ahead of the anime so we won't have to see any more fillers for a long time. That is good. Also, who need worry about japanese fillers when you have an excellent, all-manga dub to watch!

While fillers generally do suck, they're the lesser of two evils in this case. Usually when the anime catches up to the manga (which any long-running anime inevitably will, given that most anime episodes cover more than one manga chapter...), the anime ends.

The studio said that the "3 years later" arc would start in April. Nowhere did they say that it would be only fillers until then. So we probably will get the Kakashi Gaiden BEFORE then, in March at the latest.

yep, what you said dessa, oh cant wait, the filleres maybe abit underrated, bubt thats okay just as long as the characters dont change everything will be great...
and can not wait until kakshi gaiden kicks in... ive read it and its the best bit... ohh so sad, i was like in tears, and thats only reading, cant wait till the anime....
