So get this: Xaolin Showdown...completely done in Flash...that blew my mind, especially with how well their intro is done.
I caught snippets of the show when it first came on and thought it was terrible...I couldn't stand the stupid jokes that the dragon kept saying or the main kid, Omi, I believe is his name.
I end up catching some episodes near the end of Season One and I was totally impressed with their magic items they came up with, and how they worked, and how they worked against each other, or interacted to make a new item like the Demon Warrior...I still didn't like the stupid jokes but they were bearable to see the rest of the underlying storyline vs. individual episode morals.
And then I caught the final story arc of Season One...where one of the main kids quits and joins the evil team and all of a sudden his character had depth...and then the main villain (the witch, not Spicer) had depth and then all of a sudden the corny jokes started disappearing...and they finally had 3 really amazing episodes right at the end of the First Season starting with betrayal and leading up to the witch being reborn.
So now I wonder if the series will go on. It doesn't look like it did that well...I'm guessing it lost all of it's viewers at the beginning when it targeted young kids with the stupid jokes...then it lost the young kids when it started getting serious with the storyline. So now I'm addicted to a series which probably has no future and I don't even know how to contact the main company of the show to see if it has a future...doing a google search only brings up WBKids terrible terrible webpage.
Thus I ponder during the long summer months what the Fall Season will hold besides The Batman on WB Kids and 2nd Season Shaman King on Fox Box I have no idea what's coming or going in the Fall...
