According to CRAPimation, the series is supposed to be airing uncut, with "digital editing" of some of the blood... guess they changed their mind.

Poor, poor Full Metal Alchemist...it's really too bad, especially since it's being run on adult swim. On a related note, has anyone seen the dvd's yet? If so, how are the subtitles and content?

Get next Tuesday off and you can come to club's FUNimation SPONSORED SCREENING of DVD 1... Of course, once they ship me the DVD, we can also watch it then.

My list of US anime companies, for worst to best... ... (((giant gap to illustrate the large gap in quality))) 4. ADV 5. Geneon / Pioneer 6. Bandai 7. Manga Basically, I don't watch stuff from the top 3. I do watch stuff from the bottom 4 (except for FMA, which I will force myself to watch to point out all the changes... they may be only dialogue for now, but they will increase... trust me). Sorry little off topic, but when did Manga Video classify as top dubber? I guess they must have some really good stuff out in the US thats not made it to the UK yet. My most vivid memory of Manga Vid is Guyver and Dominion tank police :shudders: scary dubs, very scary. -- Back ontopic, if FMA is running on CN I guess theres a chance it'll get shown in the UK at some point ;D Anime seems to be taking off again, we've got Rave Master and One Piece is coming soon (heard its not treated well?) Im wondering if FMA ever does get shown in the UK if we'll have an edited version or the original. Afterall we got the hot springs Ep of Outlaw star with no edits at all. I guess theres probably a risk if they (CN) have rights to a censored version we'll get that rather than the equivelent to Funimations shop DVD releases.

A friend of mine recently started getting the FMA DVDs (in good part because Paku Romi does a main character (Ed's) voice) and this show is ADDICTING!!! I think that (from the few eppisodes that I have seen) it has been dubbed quite well. Mind you, I'm reffering to the English tracks on the DVDs, and I haven't even seen much of those... so, in short, my opinion does not account to much. Has anyone else who has seen the DVDs noticed what I'm calling an 'Easter egg'? It's alternate eppisode previews, in Japanese with subtitles, that consist mainly of banter between the different characters. How many eppisodes have been shown on Cartoon Network? My friend told me (I don't have cable) that they were showing the first few eppisodes recently. Are they just rerunning them, or has the series ended and they are starting it again from the beginning? It can't have finished yet, can it?

Cartoon Network played episodes 1-26 on Saturday nights, repeating them on Thursday nights, until the beginning of May. They now play repeats on Monday-Wednesday nights. I believe they are on their second run-through.

Thank you, Dessa-san!
Second run through of the whole series, or just the first 26 eppisodes? I only knew about the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday airings. Do they still air them on the weekends?
Hot Topic seems to be getting a lot of FMA merchandise. Every time I go it seems like they have more FMA shirts (I'm lucky to have gotten into it just as they seem to be putting out stuff). I bought an Al key-chain. I've also seen a Winry one, yet I've never seen an Ed.

Yes!~ Hagaren! Teehee... Is it strange that in a way, Ren got me into this series? In looking for his image songs online, I ended up finding that Romi voiced a character named Edward Elric, found his image song instead, and visited a few sites. ^-^ It's addictive. <Is still wishing Hot Topic had Ed-keychains... only Al... and Winry... T^T> This series is just great. ^-^ And Ed is adorable... DVD four comes out today~ <So much insightful stuff to say > Oh, and U-chan, there are 51 episodes
