It was finally announced that yes, 4crap has Doremi, and will be airing it next year on TV... Heaven help us all.

It's a shoujo show (magical girl), and I've seen some REALLY cute art and screenshots for it. However, I've never seen an episode of Doremi. And now it seems... I never will ;_; ...

You're pretty close, resurie.
Doremi is, as she puts it, the world's most unlucky bishoujo. And she's obsessed with witches and magic (but cannot do it). One day, she's reading a book that has all the 'signs' of a witch. On her way home from school, she stops at the "Maho do" (magic shop), and notices that the shopkeeper fits ALL of the signs. And therefore, Doremi calls her a witch.
Well, if you call a real witch on what she is, she turns into a little green blobby thing (it's not really a frog). Well, Majorika (the former witch) isn't planning on staying like that, so she needs someone to turn her back. Another witch. Guess who just got chosen to be her new apprentice?
Eventually, Doremi's best friends Hazuki and Aiko join in, as does Doremi's little sister, Pop. They also meet Segawa Onpu, a famous idol, who is also an apprentice witch, but to a different teacher, who has a much different idea of what is and isn't allowed (Onpu uses forbidden magic).
The series ran for 4 seasons (201 episode), plus quite a few specials/movies, and there's currently an OAV on a Japanese pay-per-view channel (takes place durring Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi, season 3).
It's a really good show, and I am highly disturbed by the fact that 4crap calls the 10 YEAR OLD CHARACTERS 'sexy' (originally this was reported, but then it was said that they were actually refering to Winx, and that they weren't going after Doremi... guess they were wrong).
An interesting tidbit, seeing as how Xenosaga is also being made into an anime... Onpu's seiyuu, Rumi Shishido, also does MOMO's voice on Xenosaga. Which is the reason why you see little musical notes at MOMO's feet during battle ('onpu' means 'musical note', and there's a heavy music motif in Doremi), as well as the fact that MOMO's default rod looks A LOT like the Mo~tto! poron that the girls use.
I'll go find links later... I'll also dig up my pictures of my Onpu costume.

I HATE it when 4kids dubs shoujo series (based on what I heard about the fate of TMM). come to think of it, I've hated the dub of just about every shoujo anime I've seen (Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors...)

Come to think of it, Cardcaptors was altered to appeal to teenage boys instead of to girls... As for Sailor Moon, I heard the dub gets better in the later ones than the earlier ones as Cloverway does the dubbing instead of DiC.

From last October (2003), when the idea was first shown (later it was believed to be Winx that this comment is refering to, which makes sense, but with the official announcement of Doremi, it's brought into question again):
Umm... 10 year old girls as 'sexy'?

Yes - young girls dress up like Brittney Spears... Of course, ages could be changed in the dub...
