Puffy AmiYumi...cartoon?

Apparently...Cartoon Network has a cartoon called Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi



My cousin told me about this...so I don't know a lot...and I don't know when it aired or anything...so don't ask me...

A Puffy AmiYumi cartoon? Who came up with an idea like that? And judging from the animation style, it doesn't look like an anime. It's too 'glossy' looking...

I looked through the characters...apparently...they're 'rocktastic'. o_0 I didn't go through anything else... The description they used in the characters section told me "Back away slowly..."

Or maybe it was just me...

Never seen it, I just wish they wouldn't have ever singed the Teen Titans (ugh) theme song.

What's even worse about this show is that apparently they'll randomly start speaking in Japanese, WITH NO SUBTITLES (sorry kiddies, you don't get to learn another language, you just get to listen to it)! Also, the Japanese is WRONG (someone had watched it and was telling me how when they were counting things, they were using the wrong words)!

What a mistake...

The intro reminded me of Teen Titans, all they did was say some nonsense in the beginning, then started yelling "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi Show!" over and over...@_@ And what was up with the beginning? Where Ami and Yumi have these hand rods, which I might add look surprisingly like Kokkuri Angel Tamao's hand rod (only without the coin...). >_>

The one about their number one fan...man...it's obvious those "facts" were made up for comic effect (which failed!). And I think their english voices sound nothing like their high japanese ones...the animation reminds me of Dexter's Laboratory...only worse...>__>;;

Now, the next one had that random japanese shout out. Apparently, they were in a dance contest, Ami trips, which leads to an exaggerated fall...all the while she was "flying" she said something in japanese. God knows what she said...sounded suspiciously funny to me...and I don't mean "haha" funny...><

I didn't look at the last one, the first three prevented me to...T_T

Oh, and why are Ami and Yumi so damn small?? The dance contest host guy was twice their size...o_0?!

I suspect that it's not actually Japanese anime.
I think They are using the theory that us anime fans will buy/watch any crap they air and call anime, an enjoy it. They are testing us with utter crap to see how much they can get past us. It looks horrible. I thank the gods that I don't have Cartoon Network. I can't be conditioned by them now.

Blech. It sounds crappy. I've watched a bit of it, and I can vouch for this--it is NOT anime. It's just your classic American Flash-generated cartoon with fifteen minute episodes where at the end the characters learn some happy and fluffy moral and everyone's happy. Disgusting.

You guys take things WAY to seriously sometimes, I don't think it's really TRYING to be anime. It's just a silly colorfull show for a silly colorfull j-pop band.

It's goofy and corny, but, I think that's what they were going for.

Also, I think the random, and sometimes wrong Japanese is sort of a parody of the random and oftentimes wrong "english" used in anime ^_~ .

I didn't want to be the first one to think the show was cute even though I haven't seen it yet.

I have a free week of boomerang this week. It's the cable companies way to advertise for their digital cable.

Well, I saw the commercial and I thought they looked cute. I mean it doesn't necessarily look like a regular anime, but I do see how it has a Teen Titans kind of animation style.

I am just going by a commercial I saw on Boomerang so please forgive my ignorance.

hmm...looking at it that way, it seems a lot smarter than we give it credit for. I have never seen it though (NO CABLE!! >_<) but my anime friends tell me it sux.

Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi is... bad. The animation is low quality, the plot stink like all Hades, the music... is awesome beyond words.

Anyway, it is not that interesting.

I agree with Lovely.I saw it once and thought it was super cute,so I contiune watching it.I really like this show and I think it's really funny sometimes. ;D

The cartoon is poorly drawn and the episodes are clichéd and lame as can be. The only positive thing I can think of is the J-Pop. Hopefully, they won't have a second season.
