Glad to know I am not alone in that. It is kinda of fun to sing along with it. You know, for some reason, my mom gives me the oddest looks when I do that. Heh.
Poor Dracko, that entire show has been marketed for kids. At least four months ago, I was told that Tokyo Pop wasn't even gonna release uncut DVDs. Don't know if they changed that policy though.
Yay! Now I can catch all the eps I missed.

The manga has a really deeper feel to it compared to the anime though, not to mention more blood, gore etc but thats always the way I guess. Generally I think they're doing ok on the dub but two things REALLY pissed me off. 1) In the Manga Elie is addicted to casino's (and very good at winning btw.) in the dub they've turned it into ARCADES. I mean, I know the dubbers probably don't want to promote gambling, but come on... 2) In dub language being drunk= being hyper/on a sugar high. I was watching the Lance arc and early on Plue was drinking with the old Musica then started swaying from side to side and acting all woozy and Haru kept saying stuff like "quit giving him so much soda, he's getting all hyper!" which confuzzled me greatly cuz hyperness is usually means characters zooming about the place NOT acting sluggish. THEN I figured out what the weasels behind the dubs had done. Again I understand the the companies dont want to promte stuff like dinking, but all in all it made that eposode look pretty stupid. Not to mention lame when you think about an old guy drowning his sorrows in soda pop.  |

I know some names in Rave Master that were changed in the anime were not changed in the manga; I can tell from TOKYOPOP's website. They use "dark bring" and "demon card" in the manga according to the website.

Rave Master is one of my favorite anime and to see it like this in all its dubbed glory. T.T  Anyway I saw an episode with Rosa and Go and I used to have a lot of the manga lines stuck in my head so when I saw it, I noticed that a lot of the lines from the anime were the same as the manga (I'm talking about the translated manga). Other than RAVE-O-LU-TION and mentions of Shadow Guard and Shadow Stone (or whatever it was I forget) it was pretty much the same. That's probably because TOKYOPOP dubs it. Maybe the acuracy was a one episode only thing? |

I don't know about that, but CN airs Rave Master at 5 AM in the morning on Sundays. So when you get done watching AS, and that other AS, you can watch RM. But I have to check the time thing.

Actually, it is 6 am (plz don't ask how I know that...) I don't like the dubb opening theme, because you can't understand a word they say! All I heard was "With a carrot nosed dog" and even that part made me raise an eyebrow when I first heard it. I like the show, but they need to hire people who DON'T sound like they are getting kicked in tthe nuts (short backround high bursts) and in extreme pain (the rest). And am I the only one who wonderes why they changed Musica's appearence? Was that in an episode I missed or something? I am confused..... of course that is not a far trip for me...  |

Well, it is 6am, but it's 5am for central time people, so chances are you both are right.  I was wondering about Musica's hair too! I liked the brown better, but I've kinda gotten used to the spiky black now. And I like the dub intro/ending... they're annoyingly catchy. They grew on me... I didn't care for them at first. |
