Well in the Manga he desguised himself as a DC (Demon Card) soldier to get to Tremlo Mountain (where a RAVE was reported to be). I figure he thinks that he had to change his look a little because Demon Card had met him once before and may not have allowed him to join if not.
But to all those who like Seig Hart in the anime you should read the manga because he looks better there.

Oh...Groove Adventure Rave.... I do like it at times. Mostly in it for Shuda and Musica.
I personally love dub OP/EDs above all other aspects of the show... Mostly because the music is done by one of my favorite ska-ish bands, Reel Big Fish <3.

Something bothers me.... I saw the cover of one of the GAR, and I saw ellie (sp?) on there with BLONDE HAIR! How come she is a brunnette on the show?

The anime messes up different characters by changeing their colors. I guess that's one reason why I prefer the manga over watching the anime. I mean it's not just the colors they mess up. A lot of the character just don't look right in the anime when compared to the manga. I'd show pictures, but I'm a little too lazy. *shot*

Well yeah, but you must also consider that anime is way harder to draw than manga. In the manga, it's just the artist and a few assistants. Given that, the mangaka has more control over the look of a character.
In anime, it's just a bunch of people doing fanart basically. (Ha!) Besides that, they're going look all weird and stuff. They do have to move.

I understand this but...UGH!!! It just looks so weird! *shot once again* One thing however is that many of the scenes in the anime look exactly like the manga which I really like. I wish I could see more of it but since I don't have cable and I REFUSE to buy the DVD because they don't have the Jap. version... T.T <---- I am reduced to this.

Anime MUST be uniform, while manga doesn't have to be as much. It has to be animated smoothly as well.
All anime shows have a character designer. Basically, it's their job to take the manga authors original design and create a new design that still has the look of the manga, but simplified so that it can be animated. Often-times, the Character Designers own style tends to get thrown in a bit as well.
In black and white manga, color issues aren't that big of a deal. Many older manga series have the characters with different hair colors in the art all the time (I'm thinking of Ranma 1/2 covers here.)
I'm thinking the original intent with Ellie's hair is a blondish-brown, by the way.
