Sonic X eps 53+ (big spoilers)

OK, they've begun in France.

Here's the gist of it;

Eggman is not the main enemy this time. A group of robots referred to as 'Metalex' (plural) led by a mysterious robot, Dark Oak, are basically going round the universe stealing the life force ('Planet Egg') of every planet they come across.

A girl from a race of leaf people, Cosmo, came to Sonic's world after her planet and people were destroyed by the Metalex, because she heard Sonic was a legendary hero who could use the true power of the Chaos Emeralds.

However, at the beginning, we see Super Sonic LOSING a battle against Dark Oak... So, to stop the Emeralds from being taken, he scatters them across the universe *coughDBGTcough*...

Then, the Metalex came to Sonic's world and stole the Planet Egg from them, and the planet slowly started to die.

Back on Earth, Chris is 18 now. ^^ But, without consulting anyone else, he tests out the portal and goes to Sonic's world. When he appears on the other side, his body has gone back to that of a 12 year old. XD

Anyway, Tails has a new giant ship (like, Egg Carrier size) called Blue Typhoon, and they all go into space to try and stop the Metalex, get their Planet Egg back before the planet dies completely, and find all seven Chaos Emeralds again.

These episodes are heading to Japan in April, UK in June, and the US this fall.

Ah, I was wondering how they were gonna work Chris in there. It's going to be weird to not have Eggman as the main enemy. Well, now that I think about it, he hasn't been the main enemy in the recent Sonic games either.

Well, I can't wait for season 3!

Episode 55 summary ^_^

Everyone was flying through space, when the Master Emerald (used to power the Blue Typhoon) started glowing, meaning there was a Chaos Emerald on the planet up ahead!

Looking at a guide book, Sonic noticed that this planet was supposed to be 'the dry planet', and looked forward to the lack of water there (which he hates XD).

But, when landing there, the whole planet is flooded...

The Metalex have got there before them, and are trying to steal this planet's Planet Egg, causing things to be like this.

Chris and Sonic try to fight the new Metalex, but Chris is weak and puny now, even though he knows karate. ^^

Chris starts to think he's not much help, and maybe regrets going to Sonic's world... he thinks of other ways he can help Sonic.

Sonic gets kidnapped by the fish Metalex. Amy saves him. (She has Sonic on a fishing rod XD)

But, as they fly away in the X Tornado, the fishing line breaks and Sonic falls to the sea.

Then, Chris flies in in the Hyper Tornado and gives Sonic some new shoes (Air shoes, basically a recolour of Shadow's) that let him run on water. Now, Sonic can fight the Metalex properly. He destroys them. B)

And, Cosmo manages to find the Blue Chaos Emerald by accident, after Knuckles has been diggng all day. XD

I also saw ep 56, but to summarise that here too would take too long. ^^;

Well... I don't really watch Sonic X but... the thing with Chris being 18 and stuck in a 12 year olds body is just too cute/funny XD.

I hope 4Kids 'fix' that one shot of Rouge... the badly-drawn-ness of it makes her clothes a lot lower than usual... 0__<;

They are still on the Dry Planet from episode 55.

All the people are throwing a big party for Sonic and co. for driving away the Metalex. However, Eggman, who ovbiously feels neglected for not being the main enemy, decides to jump in and try to take the Chaos Emerald they found.

And guess what? He tricks Knuckles. AGAIN. Never saw that one coming, did you? XD

Hence the standard Sonic/Knuckles fight, whilst Eggman tries to sneak off with the emerald in the commotion.

Another Metalex (frog) tries to take the Planet Egg of the Dry Planet again, but Chris manages to trick the Metalex with a 'fake' Planet Egg (a ball XD). The Metalex (and Knuckels XD) both believe Chris has the Planet Egg.

It's funny when Knuckels gets it back and acts all cool. Then he accidentally pops it. XD

To destroy the Metalex, Sonic gets into the main weapon of the Blue Typhoon, the 'Sonic Driver'. This is basically a giant cannon powered by the Master Emerald, that fires Sonic as a bullet. It was used before to destroy a Metalex on episode 54.

Before you ask, I don't know what the deal with Rouge/Bokkun and the banana Eggman gag was about. It *was* in French. XD

Oh, and IMO, the animation was pretty horrible in this episode. Ack. ><;

This looks interesting, especially since Rouge is now trying to seduce Bokkun.

Hmm, the animation didn't look all that bad to me. The worst animation in Sonic X I've ever seen had to be in "Huge Shootout on the Savannah!"

IIIRC from what I heard, Rouge isn't after Bokkun. ^^;

I think she's teasing/blackmailing him about a girlfriend he has. XD

I think the little heart charm is his, and she found it. ^^;

Thanks for the info/site Rapid!, this is indeed very exciting, especially considering a few months ago there was no concrete proof of new episodes.

It is nice to see, not as much humans personally. It looks like it could be a decent section of episodes. Not to mention, apparently an apperance of Heavy and Bomb Old characters, horrah.

Well, I've just seen ep 53. Using my minimal French skills, I was able to understand about 5-10% of it.

Gee, I never knew Decoe had such a high pitched voice in the French version. XD

Bomb and Heavy? But those guys have got to be the most forgetable characters in Chaotix, maybe even Sonic History! I wonder if it's true?

Just saw episode 57. ^^

The guys landed on a new planet covered with ice. Except, it's not supposed to be frozen- yup, the Metalex have got there before them and have taken the Planet Egg. But luckily, they haven't up and gone with it yet, they're still around (idiots).

The Red Chaos Emerald is on this planet, too, and the big Metalex has already taken it.

Anyway, Sonic and co manage to beat them (I forgot most of it, despite having just watched it 20 minutes ago XD), and get the Planet Egg and Red Emerald back.
But, Rouge sweeps in at the last second and steals the emerald. XD

Later, Rouge is taking a bath (err... yeah...) , and suddenly, the emerald stops glowing! Then, it melts, and cracks to bits!!! What the?!

This was another good episode. But lately, the animators have been drawing Rouge a bit... oversized in the chest department, methinks. >< Plus, loads of dubious scenes with her hiding stuff down her top etc, will guarantee these new eps are butchered to hell.

I watched a few of those episodes in French, I am a bit dissapointed, all the travelling makes me feel like it is Draganball GT. I dislike Draganball GT, I liked the original Dragonball. I really hope I can like this season of Sonic X. At least the Chaotix get another episode.....

Yes, the similarities to BDGT are very obvious...

I doubt Heavy and Bomb will be in episode 61. Maybe, but, episode 60 is called 'The Return of Shadow', so surely, wouldn't 61 be focused on him, too?

ADDED: OK, I just checked the list-

it *IS* pretty accurate, so maybe. But, they got the names for episode 53+ in the wrong order. ^^ So, maybe they will show up, but no idea when.
