ok this is for british anime fans, does anyone else think there is a secret conspicary to get rid of all things anime, and replace with no offense to any americans, either anime copied shows (teen titans, megas xlr, super robot monkey team hyper force go, jackie chan) or heavily edited anime, so much has been cut or edited it becomes embassiring to even watch (rave master, duel masters, yu gi oh at some points) and then we come to the scifi channel they were showing anime on sundays and saturday mornings and at night but then they decided that they should stop showing the anime movies and put anime on at 5 in the morning. we will show shome anime that hasnt been released on dvd over (airbats) we show that series then we will never show any more anime ever again. so it has come to trying to watch rave master and shaman king without crying with dispointment.

Anime is so hard to watch in the UK that I have just given up anyway. I hate Duel Masters, Shaman King is on at such stupid and rare times (Despite being Jetix's best show basically) that I just gave up watching it altogether so practically the only anime I watch is uncut japanese Yu-gi-oh on the internet. The English Yu-gi-oh is so badly edited I just can't bear to watch it anymore. The only two anime that are easy to watch in the UK are yu-gi-oh and Pokemon.

Actually, there are quite a few anime DVDs in shops in the UK, if you just look for them. MVC has an entire section dedicated to anime DVDs, and HMV and places like that have them too. And these are the good stuff, not all edited stuff.
I recommend looking for ADV DVDs, because they have the original stuff, and good dubs, and unedited stuff, etc.

A british friend I had online once said that the best thing to do is just buy a regionless DVD player and import anime DVD's from the U.S.
This was a few years back though. I hear the anime dvd scene is improving a bit over there.

That is actually true. We're getting quite a few more Region 1 DVDs out on Region 2, now. Indeed, I'm hoping to start my YYH collection, with the starting 79 or so episodes I haven't seen yet.

Defently. I'd love to see more Adult Swim animes in the UK, especally Kenshin and maybe InuYasha. Infact, I'd like to see Adult Swim.
I'd also love to see the Shaman King un-cut DVDs over here. A friend has told me that a computer is teachnically region free and is set to Region 2 by default, so I might import the DVDs and test that theory out.

If I remember correctly (cos we dont get adult swim in the UK and I've only seen it a couple of years ago when I was in the US) Adult swim is like a sort of late night cartoon/Anime program which is on the same channel as CN and basically shows cartoons/Anime's which are targeted towards an older demographic audience due to their content (e.g. Cowboy Bebop due to gory gunfights, ditto with Trigun, Inuyasha, again probably cos of the blood and some course language etc...). At least thats how i remember it, dont know if its changed though.

Well then I guess I have a channel like that in my country. There are on Inuyasha, the anime/manga with Lina Inverse, the one with Eclair and.....ummm...the other girl..(I don't know the titles) but there is also Pockamon.
