Did anyone happen to see the new shows on CN and Nick this weekend?Camp Lazlo, coming from Rocko's Modern Life creator Joe Murray was somewhat of a disapointment. The only similarity between the two is that the CL characters are made up of leftover character sketches from Rocko.I was expecting some of the same crazy personality that we got from Rocko, but it was all new.
I thought Catscratch was going to be a completely stupid show like just about every other Nick show(except FOP,SBSP),but this wasn't so bad.I wasn't completely turned off by it.
What do you guys think of the new shows?

I knew Lazlo was connected to Rock somehow, I could tell by the art. And no, I did not watch either.

I watched a little bit of Camp Lazlo, and while I did like Rocko's Modern Life, CL didn't do anything for me. Too many cliches, maybe. I didn't see Catscratch. I have been disappointed with a lot of the CN exclusives coming out lately.

CN exclusives just aren't good anymore. The last really good one was Fosters, great show.

Foster's is OK. Not a show I go after, though. The toonami stuff that came out a while back was really good, like Teen Titans, Megas XLR, Justice League Unlimited. But all this crap like Krapto the Stuper Dog and Juniper Lee and Atomic Betty is bleh. I STILL hate Codename: Kids Nextdoor too.
Actually the best show to come out of CN recently is Venture Bros., but it's on so late I can rarely see it.

Lot of good shows you brought up. Venture Brothers is awesome, and it sucks that they cancelled Megas.

I watched a little bit of both. They both were just so boring and pointless. They could have done better. Most cartoons today are getting stupid. With an exception for Avatar and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. :3

" Codename: Kids Nextdoor"
Did you watch the "What a Cartoon" episode that the series is based on?

I have no intention of watching either one aside from any commercial promos that I may sit through, but I just wanted to say that after seeing that gray "cat" (as I don't think any of them should ever really be described as cats... couldn't Nick at least you know... make them look a smidgeon like actual cats? ) talk from Catscratch, that he sounds like Pleakley (sp? the skinny, one-eyed alien) from Lilo & Stitch. I wonder if they're voiced by the same VA...

Back on the Codename: KND thing, There is something I must show you (This is really off topic, but since someone brought it up I real I have/want to show you this) this was on the Rogue's Gallery's FAQ section "Why are the Kids Next Door in the manga? They're not Manga characters! Well, first of all, it's more Numbuh Three then the other Kids Next Door (Isn't it ironic that I hate the one everyone loves). And secondly, I have a bad history when it comes to making my own characters. You see, for many, many years, everytime I made my own character, some big animation name would always have a character that resembled mine in every way. Now, I didn't mind with everyone else, but then something happened after I made Kitty Navilos for the first time...shortly afterwards, Mr. Warburton, the guy who created Codename: Kids Next Door, debuted that show. And when I saw Numbuh Three, I flipped. This kid looked, for the most part, like Kitty. Black hair, oversized green sweater, the works. If not for the fact that she is Japanese (Got an e-mail correcting me on this. Thanks, Maverick and Indigo.) and does not wear cat ears and a tail, I would have been more libid than I already was. I was mad as Hell because Kitty was my favorite character and shortly after creating her, she had been ripped off. But because I'm a low-brow jabroni bastard and Mr. Warburton is a animation tycoon, I can't do anything about it. So, I just did what I always do at times like this: make comics against the creations of the guys that ripped me off, mostly Numbuh Three. Sure, it's trite and a tad bit pathetic, but it makes me happy. Come on, I know I'm not the only guy that hates that show." I swear, they look almost exactly alike! Look, LOOK! I HAVE PROOF, HERE!!! trg.fireball20xl.com/trg/059.htmlOk, back on subject, I like Camp Lazlo, and Catscratch seems to suck a bit.
