Hi again everybody!
Does anyone remember the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Whether it's the comic, the cartoon (...and Michelangelo is a party dude, Wah-heyyy), the movies (TMNT, Secret of the Ooze, or the third one), or even the version that 4Kids released; I'd like to know which ones did you guys like the best.
Well... I guess I'll go first then...
I have no favorites, I like them all for individual reasons (with the exception of the comics since I didn't know they existed until recently). *The movies were simply cool and I liked the little bits of humor they threw in. I also never forgot Splinter's running line... "I made a funny." *The cartoons were kind of silly, and some of the bad guys made me gag (like Baxter Stockman who was a fly, his twin brother who had a joke wave machine). But I still liked them. However my favorite part of the series was when Usagi from "Usagi Yojimbo" was introduced. *I seriously thought that 4Kids had butchered this cartoon, but I feel that it's pretty watchable. The cartoon actually kept the dark atmoshpere (so why couldn't they leave that alone on Shaman King and Yu-Gi-Oh?!) and they didn't have stupid voices on the characters.
Okay, how about you guys?

I was a huge TMNT fanatic back in the day. I collected the toys, recorded every episode of the cartoon, loved the movie, but I also really got into the original Black and White comics which started it all. They're quite a bit darker and nothing like the 80's cartoon that most people remember. In fact, the new animated series is much closer to it. My opinion is that the new show is much better than the old one, mostly for that reason. It's the show I always wished they would make back in the 80s, with all the original comic plotlines (the utroms, Professor Hunnicut, the Triceratons). Honestly, going back and watching the old cartoon, I think I'd rather keep it in my rose-colored past, they just don't hold up my attention like the used to, they're pretty cheesy.

They have some new version of the show on that airs on Saturdays but it's nothing like it used to be. I can't watch it anymore. I miss the old show. Come back... Please?

The old show was wonderful, the new one just sucks, never seen (let alone read) the comic, and in terms of the movies, I think the second one (Secret of the Ooze) was the best one.
Alot of the games that came out based on the original series were kick-ass. Especially the arcade games. Hell, I occasionally pick up TMNT: Tournament Fighters on my SNES from time to time.

The second movie was embarrassingly awful. >_< I think some of you are remembering vague childhood memories of the 80's cartoon and probably would be like me and not enjoy it so much now. As far as writing, artwork, continuity, and faithfulness to the original creator's ideas, the new show is by far superior.

I was a huge TMNT fan, I loved the cartoon, toys, movies, and games. Turtles in Time for the SNES has to be one of the best video games of all time.

Wow... I only have the old NES version of Ninja Turtles (which I still can't beat ), along with one of the more recent games: TMNT 2: Battle Nexus. As far as the movies, I was actually fond of the first 2 movies... it was the third one that made me scream.

Useless and needless trivia:
In England, there was something against calling them "Ninjas", so they were re-dubbed the "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles".
There was something similar that happened to Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars. The "Wars" wasn't liked, so they changed it to "Menace".

I had the old NES game. I did beat it. It was one of the last NES games I ever bought. I kind of lost interest in video games after a certain point for some reason. I was a video game addict and then I just stopped.

I still have my TNMT action figures as well as some episodes recorded on a tape. I never saw Casey Jones in that series... but I've been hearing rumors that he was there. Does anyone else know if he was there? Master Splinter knew how to drive in that series .
