The title of this thread pretty much sums it up. Pick an anime, and pick the voices, and (if you feel like it) explain a little bit on why you think 'X' VA would work for 'X' character. It can be any anime, whether its already been done or not. So I'll start things off.... If I did the voice casting for Hunter X Hunter I would choose..... Malie Flannigan (Naruto) as Gon--Given Gon's age this would probably work out nicely. In addition, Gon character isn't as annoying and arrogant as Naruto, so I think that this voice would settle in rather nicely. Second choice: Aaron Dismuke (Alphonse Elric) Sonny Strait (Maes Hughes) as Leorio--I just sorta pictured Leorio sounding like that ever since I read the first volume. Leorio IS kinda comic-relief-y to the other main characters, so I think this is a fit. Sean Teauge (Koenma) as Kurapika--I'm not sure if he also does Koenma in his teenage form, but that's what pictured when I first saw Kurapika.  ? as Killua--I...really can't decide on this guy, I was kinda thinking of something like a younger Hiei, but I'm not sure how well Chuck Huber (Hiei's VA) would play younger characters. He does have the assasin thing going though.... Waiting-till-the-last-minute choice: Yuri Lowenthall (Sasuke) Jerry Jewell (Barry the Chopper) as Hisoka--Who better to play the role of a homicidal maniac than the same guy who played...well....a homicidal maniac? ...Thats all for now...your turn! Sonny Strait (Maes Hughes) as Leorio--I just sorta pictured Leorio sounding like that ever since I read the first volume. Leorio IS kinda comic-relief-y to the other main characters, so I think this is a fit. You and me think quite alike. I came up with a FUNI cast for One Piece, but I don't feel like remembering right now. |

If I did the voice acting for any anime character, I'd most likely be forced to commit suicide shortly after, as I have problems thinking about people in anime speaking English.

Update: After re-reading my post I noticed how much of a whiner I sound in this so I'll fix it up a little...
Sonic X
Gamma played by Steve Broadie- Anyone is better than that guy that who played the dub Gamma on Sonic X. But this guy's voice naturally suits Gamma...
Sonic played by Richard Cox- One day, I just got this insane idea to imagine InuYasha's voice coming from Sonic... and surprisingly, it kind of worked out. Mr. Cox really captures that "bad boy" attitude that I believe exists in Sonic. But the Sonic purist in me still whines that it wants Jameel White or Ryan Drummond.
Tails played by Mona Marshall- Although this doesn't follow the tradition of a squeaky voiced Tails, I believe that this voice actually makes him sound slightly mature.
Amy, Knuckles, and Cheese- These guys are fine the way that they are.

Luffy -- E.G. Daily (Tommy Pickles, Rugrats; Buttercup, Powerpuff Girls)
Zoro -- Keep Marc Diraison (Guts, Berserk) or if forced to change, Lex Lang (Sanosuke, Rurouni Kenshin).
Nami -- Dorothy Melendrez (Naru, Love Hina) or Catlin Glass (Winry, Fullmetal Alchemist)
Usopp -- Tony Oliver (Lupin, Lupin III) or Sonny Strait (Krillin, DBZ)
Tony Tony Chopper -- Wendee Lee (Yahiko Myojin, Rurouni Kenshin)
Nico Robin -- Laura Bailey (Lust, FMA) or Jane Alan (Megumi Takani, Kenshin)

Oh man, I was about to say the same thing for Crocodile!
Anyways...
Buggy -- I think Jerry Jewell would be a little better for him than with Mr. 2/Bon Clay.
Don Kreig -- Christopher R. Sabat (Piccolo, DBZ) easily.
Kuro -- His dub voice dosen't sound too-too bad in my opinion, but I'm still going with Chuck Huber (Hiei, Yu Yu Hakusho).
Arlong -- I was gonna say Christopher Sabat again, but I'm trying not to list a VA more than twice, another really good choice (and I think a more appropriate one) would be Mike Pollock (Adon, Berserk).
Smoker -- This is who I was saving my second time to use Christopher Sabat for.
Those are all the villians I can think of for now...
