Um...well, it's premiering soon, and I thought of giving people a little heads-up. Because I have the first episode on DVD.
It's a racing show, of course, with your typical cocky hero, the tough girl, and the quiet girl. And a cat.
If you're not into those shows where the main characters seem to be famous yet new...skip this show. The winner of the tourney last time was asked to give a speech, and he said he was looking out for the main character. Something special.
Like for the other 500 characters who are also special.
Based on what I saw, this show was pretty average. The fact that the art isn't bad doesn't hurt, but overall, it's really no different from the other shows of its kind.
Anyone else have an opinion/will soon?

Yuugiou=cards.
IGPX= robots.
They are very different, but at least Yuugi wasn't all cocky. But I liked Yuugiou. IGPX isn't even good at what it is trying to be, whether it be unique or a decent mecha show.

IGPX = Yu-Gi-Oh?
I taking a guess you're thinking it's just another anime about competition. I think it's going to be sick, and when you got kick ass voice actors like Mark Hammil, Steve Jay Blum, and Tom Kenny, it's definately gonna kick ass.

i don't know the dub voice actors but i never refered to a single voice actor as "kick ass" i guess i'll take your word for it and check it out. but i really don't know how good dub voice actors can be. at first when i saw a preview i didn't even think it was an anime.

I am very excited about this show. I don't like racing series, but the added mix of mecha really makes me want to watch. From what I've seen, the animation is excellent and the VA is great, so I be here Sunday (and I better not hear any complaints!).

i have to agree that the animation looks cool. all the animes these days look done by flash animation is that what they do?

The more I hear about this show, the more interested I become. But I think the big thing about this show (if you don't know already) is that this the FIRST co-production between a Japanese anime company and an American cable TV channel.

Why do you guys think I'm basing this on the previews?
I saw the first episode. It's just my opinion, but it is based on the first episode of the heroes being famous, cliched, and not very unique.

Awesome! The premiere just ended, and I loved it. Some of the music even came from old Toonami promos. A plus in my book. The animation and voice acting (along with the character's personalities) were all pretty good, if not great in some areas. I can't wait for next week. Pretty cool in my opinion. Also, I know this was developed impart (at least animated) by GItS: SAC people, but um, 2049? Isn't that like the general time frame of SAC? ETA: I heard some recognizable voices as well. I couldn't name any VAs, but I did hear some. I didn't find Takeshi fitting a mold for heros (maybe his general desposition), but just look at what people say about Eva's Shinji. Also, in one ep, this show has had more minority (i.e. dark skinned) characters than I've ever seen in anime in general. That's always a plus.

Like, all my friends in real life found it dumb, but the people on the forums liked it. XDDD
This may or may not be a bad sign.

I'm kinda uneasy on the premise too... the premise is like any racing show out there.
