Eh heh heh. So... is anyone else on an Avatar high right now?
Want to discuss Her Craziness Princess Azula (yes, that's the name, it's confirmed)? Did anyone besides Ssteiny nearly cry when Zuko and Iroh cut off their hair? Did anyone besides me squeal like a stuck hog at the next episode preview ("HOLY CRAP JOHN LENNON-WANNABE AND KATAANG IN THE SAME EPISODE!")?
Since I can't find the earlier Avatar thread, I'm posting this.
Discussion, now!

God, you were jumpy! I'm sorry I was kinda down. Seeing you like that made me happy. Ok, I would have cried if I saw them cut off their top knots by myself, but that doesn't make me weak! Men can cry! It is so sad to see a warrior sacrifice themselves for honor, for dedication, and for justice. I'm not sure what is going to happen, but I am pretty sure that Iroh and zuko are going to die. They are heroes. Damn, Iroh is my favorite character.
Innle says: "The fire nation is ancient Japan with a steam engine." cant deny my innle on that!!

Heh. Might want to mark the starting post of this thread "spoilers" and note the episode...
But yeah, it was a great episode. Though I felt bad for Zuko pretty much the whole way through. And yes, the hair cutting made me REALLY sad.... Zuko's beautiful hair....
*cough*
But geez, that Earth Nation guy, what an ass huh? I'm suprised he didn't get killed. Though Sokka bopping him on the head was wonderfully satisfying.

Ok, Here's something I stumbled upon youtube earlier: [glow=red,2,300]Avatar in German[/glow]. It's a four-five minute clip. I really like zuko's german VA. youtube.com/watch?v=r8ZQkECXZcA

The voices are all pretty accurate... except for Zuko's, which is better. Iroh honestly sounds like they got Mako to speak German... and Sokka sounds a tad girly to me... thanks for finding that, love.

I wouldn't be suprised if Mako voiced Iroh in german. I read that he served in the U.S army during WWII and fought in the european theatre... you're welcome, honey.

Sorry for post padding. I am behind on avatar for the lack of having a television, which doesn't bother me, but I wanna watch more avatar!!!!!! I finally saw return to Omashu. I loved the spirited away reference of sokka covered in sewage hovering like the stink spirit! Innle: thank you, love, for the info on The Swamp. I am looking forward to see the return of the blue spirit! Zuko kicks ASS!!!!!! I really want to see Iroh bust some skulls too. When I saw that youtube had Return to Omashu, the fan in me came out. "YEEEEEUUUUUUSSSSSS," I half shouted, clenched my fists and moved both arms back and forth!!!!!!

Hey guys, long time no see...
Avatar huh?...
Love it!!! So far the best characters for me are Aang, the Water Tribe Siblings (don't know their names), and the Fire Country prince with the burn on his face. I only recently started watching it (since my family rediscovered cable), but I can officially say that I'm owned.

Yay, another follower! screw leaders! You can watch it on youtube.com. yay for the cool AUTHENTIQUE martial arts. Air bending is based on a style of kung fu called pa qua. One of my teachers is a master of it, even though sensei adams doesn't promote. He's been a first degree black belt for 25 years. the grandmaster even recomended him to be a master. He calls himself a lowly student.

I post in my LJ my "thoughts of the week" on each Avatar episode (well... almost each episode ^^;.)
So If you all don't mind, I'll just repost/cross post it here too.
SPOILERS
**** This episode had a BUNCH of hilarious moments and lines. But it also had some interesting pieces of plot and just interesting things in general.
First off, I was IMMENSELY pleased that this episode had some of the characters going back to the Kyoshi village. And a reference to the girl that Sokka liked, Saki. Saki, being a character who I thought was a lot more interesting then Yue >_> . Seems like Saki went to fight in the war though. And as someone on the Avatar Community said, "She's... probably gonna die..." Ah.
I was also very happy to see "foaming at the mouth" guy again XD . He just went all out this time! *dies* It was also fun to see a detective theme in this episode because detectives have been on my mind lately due to the very cool detectives in Suikoden V. Heh. Hm, come to think of it, it does seem that Zuko is becoming a phantom thief... hm... Zuko doesn't have any of the phantom thief style or honor though. He's just coming off as a petty thug. I like the character of Zuko and all, but his current actions are angering me. hmph.
Aang's time in jail was pretty funny too. What with the other inmates being a little... *cough*. Very emotional guys they were!
And finally, the Avatar Kyoshi's apperance was a bit Deus ex Machina-ish, but, to be fair, it's not like she saved the cast. She just kind of further damned them. Hah. She was kind of cool though...
I thought it was interesting that it was the EARTH tribe who once tried to take over the world. It makes me wonder more about the history of the avatar world. I mean, in the "present" it's the fire nation who are the aggressors, so it's interesting to think that there's always been this imbalance of power and war in the world. Perhaps each tribe has at one point tried to shift that balance of power and then been stopped by an Avatar. But then, the other tribes, still in pain from the past conflict, decide that THEY will change things and... Well, it would/was really be an unending cycle.
Moving on, when Sokka lost his boomerang, I kind of thought he would start using another weapon. And then they went to Kyoshi... and Sokka did train in that fighting style before... But, he got the boomerang back. Ah well. Aang himself used the fans, so that was nice I suppose. And Aang looked simply wonderful in that Kyoshi makeup. Especially when he sort of smirked at the leader of the village before he saved them. Hee...
Ah, well, originally I was just going to talk about the things I found funny in this episode, but this post got a lot more serious than I expected. Ah, good series make me so happy... ****

I don't know If I should mark this a spoiler. I don't know if it even happens, but I don't think Iroh is going to die. Think about it. If Azula wanted to kill Iroh she would have. She was tormenting Zuko. And as Innle mentioned to me the episode wasn't written by Dimartino. So one of the lower writers couldn't kill off Iroh. Me and her were like [sad-angry]"omfg or gfe (god-f-ing-egypt) nooooooooooo"[/sad-angry] Jane needed some shaman king after seeing that.
Once again, DIE, AZULA, DIE!111
