Mass E-mail, anyone?

A lot of people probably don't even know the board is active again. They probably still like this place though, but it can be frustrating to face an empty board. So they probably stopped checking on this place.

My suggestion? Email all members so they'll know the board is active, and is attempting to be revived. We can have a big party then

Sounds like a good idea to me, if they like get an email saying that they have a PM. Do you get emails when someone PM's you? I never did...but maybe that's a setting I just missed lol.

It's worth a try, though!

Actually, I don't think I've ever gotten an email telling me I've been PM'd... ^^;

You don't get emailed if someone on the board PMs you, unfortunately. I believe you only get emailed if you turn thread notifications on, but I've never used those so I might be wrong.

Oops ^_^; I'm a dumb doodoo head. That's not what I was thinking of. I meant a mass Email, although admittedly some people probably aren't even using the e-mail addresses listed here anymore.

But I'm pretty sure the administrator can send actual mass E-mails.

The administrator of a Proboard CAN send out a mass email, but I'm pretty sure that global mods can as well. I run an RPing Proboard, and some of my global mods have been able to mass email everyone with updates.
