What is different if anything between this and regular warcraft. Not to sound totally naive even though I am. I never really got into warcraft.
Is this a new look or just another sequel?

Massively multiplayer online. You play as one character. Quests. PvP. Roleplaying. There are screenshots and more info at www.worldofwarcraft.com. I'd right more but I think my rabbit is going insane now...he's eating paper while wedged between his litter pan and the cage wall...it's sort of cute and odd... |

Ah! no worries~ I looked on the site message board and I discovered the problem.
After the download that took forever, I am now installing it... which is also taking forever ^^; . Hopefully it will run on my computer. *Lovely knows nothing about hardware so everytime she downloads a game, she sorts of gambles on whether it will work or not ^^; .*

I hope you have better luck than me. LC got it to install on his computer. My computer decided it didn't like the installer so it kept locking at a specific point. So now I'm redownloading it thinking a file was corrupted when the installer was transfered to my computer over the network.
But I just hijack LC's computer to play for now. So I'm on test server 35 playing an undead mage named Lohki. LC is playing an undead (I forget what) named Kisei.

Well, lets see, here's the story of my adventures with Warcraft.
day 1: downloading installer...
day 2: ditto....
day 3: ditto.... nah, just kidding. I finished downloading on day 2 ^_~.
Day 3: tried running game. It didn't work, I was filled with sadness. BUT, I figured, I Have to try SOMETHING. and eventually, I figured out how to update my graphics drivers. So yay! It worked!
However. LAG! Horrible lag! I thought it was my computer, but it turned out everyone was having similar problems.
day 4-ish: Log in again. Wandered around aimlessly. Didn't really enjoy myself. It's weird when you are shy in an ONLINE WORLD. *curses self*
Day 5 (tonight-ish): logged in again. with more purpose, figured out who to get quests and how to show emotions (those are fun ^o^ .) . Actually, I figured out how to do a lot of things tonight, AND the lag probably fixed itself for a good while. However, eventually the server shut down (couple of minutes ago.) 'Twas fun though ^_^ .
I'm a human priest on server um... 30 sumthin.... (36?) . Name: "Lovely". What can I say? I like my online name ^_^ .

We're on Test 35 (East Coast) which is the only Roleplay server on the East Coast.
Saturn wants me to tell you our crazy adventure yesterday. We got on the wrong blimp, thinking we were going to Ogrimmar and it took our undead characters to some tropical island where the orcs have an outpost.
I was like, "this is cool, and pretty, let's go outside and look around!"
We get outside and there's this huge plant, and my character has herbalism, so I go to harvest it and it's like, "you need level 125 herbalism to harvest this." and I'm like, "Wow, my herbalism skill is only level 12..."
About this time Saturn starts to put two and two together and she's like, "I don't think we should be here..."
And I'm like, "Hey cool! Ruins, let's look over there!" I get like, 20 feet before a huge Ogre comes out of nowhere, clubs me dead in one hit, and walks off while Saturn just stood on the trail watching in horror.
So now we don't venture very far away from the main undead area...

I'll say one thing about Blizzard (the makers of the game) they have a freakish sense of humor 0_o XD . You see, the (incredibly short) open beta ended today. I log on this early evening with the intent to buy a bunch of fireworks in stormwind and they set 'em off randomly. I mean, I didn't need the money anymore, Blizzard is gonna wipe our characters out anyways. So, I log in, kill a kobold or two for no reason, and head for a little town called Goldshire. Where, I float 10 feet in the air, and when I land I've become a chicken 0_o . Thinking... "whoa, that's a huge bug" I noticed, EVERYONE ELSE IN MY VICINITY IS TURNING INTO CHICKENS AS WELL 0_0 !!! So after a bit that wears off. And a pack of super high leveled HELLHOUNDS enter the town! I run to the inn. Only to find out, yep, those hellhounds can enter the inn too. So, I die. I resurect, and after establishing a "what the crap was that???" conversation with a few others I head off to the capital city of Stormwind to pick up some firecrackers. At the gates to the town, a pack of hellhounds await and another BIG high leveled... thing. I die... about 5 times, trying to get into the city. When I finally DID get into the city, I got lost and couldn't find the firecracker vender ^_^;;;. Meanwhile, huge groups of warriors and the like are trying to kill the monsters at the city gates. While other people are randomly turning into chickens. Lower level people can't do much in the way of fighting, so they just burst into dance at random intervals. Riiiight, when I think I've found the area where the firecrackers are to be sold. A warning pops up "5 minutes till server is shut down." And then a countdown began 0_o . Everyone quickly said their goodbyes and I gave up on the firecracker plan and thru myself in the canal. thus ends my Warcraft adventure. Weird, WEIRD sense of humor those guys have. But, I must admit, they know how to throw a party XD ! EDIT: Someone online took pictures of The end of the world XD . |

Awww...that's awesome! It's too bad I missed that. My story isn't as crazy as that but.... Last night I ended up getting into a 30+ player raid against the night elves north of the Crossroads. It was pretty crazy, there were so many people on the screen it was beyond lag. But I managed to take some screen shots. Everyone lying on the ground in Ogrimmar....gotta love the undead sleeping as corpses: saturn.lundyarts.com/wow/raid1.jpgAnother scene of us still waiting in Ogrimmar...there was a lot of random chat and dancing going on and anticipation: saturn.lundyarts.com/wow/raid2.jpgAnd finally...north of the Crossroads. I think it was a 15 minute run from Ogrimmar to there...it was so far...thank goodness for the follow command. Hey! I think I was on your server when you guys went on a raid last night! I logged in sever 35 and started a undead character, because I wanted to try it out since the Beta was going to end soon. (I DID manage to make a cute undead priest ^_~ .) Anyhoo, when I got there, the chat had people trying to get a large group together to go raiding places  . Most memorable convo went something like this: JOIN US! REVENGE ON THE PALADINS! THE HUMANS MUST DIE! Or elves... whatever. We're all gonna die, but we're gonna have fun! That had me laughing for a while . I only got my undead priest to level 2 though. I got tired after that ^^;. |

Hehehe....yeah that was probably the raid group I was in. They were pretty crazy last night. I think what caused it all was a gnome and a dwarf came into the Undercity or something. They came up to my character after I logged in and started doing the rude gesture emote at me.
