The wait is finally over!!!

Well my persuausion skills must be improving because just when I thought I would never see the game for months, I was able to convince my wife to let me go and purchase Xenosaga 2. I had a coupon for 10% off, then a Best Buy Reward Zone cert. for $5, a gift card worth about as much as the tax for the game XD, and a birthday check for $25. I was gonna use it for manga, but I WANT MY XENO FIX!!!! >_< The game actually cost me $15 of my own money!! XD

Now I haven't gotten very far yet. I only had about an hour to play it last night and I'm not letting my son see this game because of the horrific violence and just over all adult content. I've only just met Jin. When he did his sword thing, I thought it was Zoro from One Piece!! XD

Is it just me Des and van, or do Caanan and chaos have overly intense voices. First off chaos. When I first heard his voice I was like, Tai? Is that Tai from Digimon. I knew it was Josh Seth, but he sounded so much like a serious version of Tai that it was freaky. I'll have to get used to his new voice because right now I wish he had his old VA. Both Caanan and chaos sound sedated and serious. There voices really lacked emotion. I really hope it gets better.

Shion. I haven't gotten to see her in action, but I didn't even recognize her on the cover of the game beside Jin. I thought it was another new character. I liked old big round glasses Shion. they don't have nearly enough nerds saving the galaxy.

I want to see Jr. and MOMO SO BAD!!! How long until I find them Dessa or vanaman? I know I'll probably answer this question before you reply but I just had to ask!!

I got this game thursday. And my Love hate relationship with the Xenosaga games continues. When there's somthing I love I really love it. And when theres something I hate it bugs the hell out of me. Theres so much in the way of cinematics that I wonder if monolith used the wrong medium for the story. The storys good but for a while I was wondering if theres any game. I just hope this doesn't turn out to be continued. If were still on episode one and that's the case it really will take about ten thousand years to get to Xenogears.

Mech combat is better this time. I still liked Xenogears mech designs and combat better though. Speaking of Xenogears is it just me or does Kos-Mos mech look a little like it? To bad the Xenogears isn't hidden in the game.

Yeah I think that the new graphics were the real reason fot the coustume redishins.

Albedo still needs to die the scary freak. I can see he still plays Rubido like a harp.

Gameplay is good.

Well if I'm harsh on Xenosaga it's because I love Xenogears soo much. I even had dreams about playing the sequal (Quote from dream "Don't tell me Elly's been brainwashed AGAIN?!"). Witch I adapted into something else. If you ask real nice I'll even let you read what I have written. Although I'm honest enough to admit it probably isn't as good as the games plot.

I know vanman is gonna get mad at me for saying this, but I greatly prefer Xenosaga over Xenogears. The game is just overall better. Better laid out, better planned (although that wasn't their fault), better execution... the only thing that isn't better is the loading times...

Jr.- You give that to one of the robots on the Elsa. It makes the professor wear shorts, a hawaiian shirt, and a straw hat when you talk to him (in all scenes EXCEPT the one right after loading your EpII clear data, and when you go after the 4th of the bonus bosses).

First of all, Jr, by the end of the game, you will like chaos' new voice actor more than the original. The only voice I truly did not like was MOMO's which was very depressing since I love the character so much.

Second, Dessa, I already knew you liked Xenosaga more than Xenogears(your love of chaos is too strong). I am waiting on the final judgement on which is better when I have seen the WHOLE story of Xenosaga to make my judgement. Right now, I still like Xenogears better.

Yay! Jr. got Xeno II! That makes, what, 3 or 4 of us now?lol.

I had such a hard time getting through the Second Miltia thing with Jr's group.

I'm not one to go scouring through menus early in the game, I like to play the game.

So I didn't allocate any of my skill points to learn any ethers.

I was wondering why this game was so damn difficult after I died for the third time by the soldiers in white suits that surround you and can hit all three of your memebrs at the same time for almost 100 hp.

But after I looked and gave my charries Medica (MOMO, who is an offensive powerhouse in this game it would seem, got Medica All ) I gave chaos Medica 2 and everyone had Medica 1. That makes things a lot easier and I still need to get reaquainted with the boost system. Things move so much faster in battle that I find myself constantly checking for boostable characters. I shoudl have put Ziggy in mty party, but I couldn't decide who to swap out for him. I mean my party was MOMO, Jr., and chaos. Who would you get rid of.

Then I saw some cutscenes, (spoilers sort of). I just wish that chaos wouldn't have died when I fought the first boss of the game back in the "tutorial area". I finished him off with my double attack and his final attack before the battle ends killed chaos and he didn't get any exp. I was upset, but chaos caught up in levels.

Vanman: I personally don't really mind MOMO's voice. I'm with you that I liked her sweet innocent voice from Ep.1, but I see her new boice just shows a bit of maturity.

Jr. is even more cocky than I remember him!!! XD Calling Ziggy old man!!

Belive it or not you should have switched out Chaos. Certain carecters seem to be best at damaging certain enemies. Chaos works best against Gnosis. Ziggy seems to be best for biological. Shion destroys machines. Momo seems to kill everything with equal impunity. Jr, Kos-Mos and Jin don't seem to have any advantages. Well I may be wrong, but I'll try to check.

PS when you get to it put Jin with Jr. You'll understand when you get to it.

Oh and is there anyone Chaos doesnt know? I half expect Citan Rico and Bart from Xenogears to show up and mention how they all met him on different ocasions.

I never had any problems with chaos... he never left my party through the entire game... Except for fighting the 3rd-to-last boss, with that stupid "Once I count down to 0, that character is dead" attack... hello "change" option!

though I don't dislike the character, I never used chaos in my game through Xenosaga II. I used him so much in the first game that I really didn't want to use him in the second one my first time through...next time though.

I tried to use him in Ep.1 but I had Jr. and Shion for like the entire duration and the third member kept being up for grabs.

*MOMO's subconciouss. Man Albedo was a spazz. When he blew his head off I had the exact same look on my face as Jr. XD I was like DEAR LORD!! Poor MOMO! She tries so hard!! ;_; I loved the scene at Jin's house with Jr. going nuts with all the books!! XD Damn Albedo. I'm glad Nigredo blew your arm off!! >_< I was going to ask you Dessa why Jr. was the only U.R.T.V. that didn't grow up, but it was answered when I thought about it and Jr. explained it subtly.

I'm so glad they made MOMO a powerful fighter. I wanted to use her in Ep.1, but it was so hard to get her in the group. I'm not much for a character designated only for support. If I'm going to use a support character, they better be able to handle themselves in battle too.
